We started our online journey to bring awareness to the ability of cats and to help others understand the relationship between a service animal and their handler/person. We offer training tips and tricks that I have learned through the years along with other information on all things feline. We began this journey in 2014 with Lexi and Dezi. They have since gone on to heaven, but our journey continues. This blog is about our daily life from the kitty's point of view. It’s A Special Day Today

(Me wants to pawlogize fur all da emails yous got and da confusion. WordPress seems to be havin bwain farts and not workin’ so good when it comes to schedulin’ meez posty, and weez twyin’ to get this worked out.)

WooHoo It’s National Cat Day!!! Can yous believ it? A day totally devoted to kitties. Wait a minute, I fawt dat wuz evewyday. (Dezi turns from the computer and loudly meows) Mommy, hey mommy…

Mommy: Yes dear?

Dezi: Me fawt yous sed evewyday wuz all ‘bout me and Lexi. What’s up wiff this National Cat Day?

Mommy: Yes honey, everyday here is all about you and your sister. But in 2005 a lady named Colleen Paige decided to make a day for everyone to celebrate the unconditional love and companionship they get from the cats in their lives. And the ASPCA also tries to encourage cat adoptions on this day. It’s a day to show the world how wonderful you kitties truly are. But, my dear we will always celebrate you and Lexi everyday here. Okay? (pats Dezi on the head and gives her a kiss)

Dezi: OH, okay mommy. Then it’s a good fing there’s a whole day fur evewypawdy to celebwate their kitties. Uh, duz dat mean extwa tweats fur Lexi and me today? (whispers) Yous know a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to get those extwa tweats. Hey  Lexi, put on da mushy luv ya’ face and let’s get sum extwa tweats. And maybe weez can do sum playin’ wiff those new toys we got in da mail.

OMC Lots of da blogs hav an in wiff da cat daddy Jackson Galaxy. Weez not know how yous all did it, but anyways lots of ‘em, even sum of yous readin’ meez posty today. And anyways, all of ‘em wuz havin’ these givaways of dat new Catification book and sum Jackson Galaxy inspired toys. You know we entered evewyone of those contests and weez just kuldn’t catch a win. But we wusn’t deterred we just kept twyin’, and then…OMC ow wunnewful furiends ovew at Sometimes Cats Herd You sent us an email and sed………You Won! Yep, we had finally won. We wuz gettin’ sum of those pawsum toys and dat book. Hope mommy learns a lot and turns ow pawtment into Cat City Centwal, or better yet, meez vewy own Dezi’s World. Well as me sed da toys came in da mail and we fawt you might like to see a little video. Sis Lexi did mowe playin’ than me in this video, but it always makes mommy happy to see hers old girl havin’ a good time, so me let Lexi hav fun. After all meez Meowday is comin’ up and meez gunna be gettin’ all kinds of special attention, so what’s one play session. Weez also wuz havin’ a little twubble wiff da camewa and da memowy cawd so da video has a foo glitches, but we hope you enjoy it. And giv yous kitties sum extwa tweats and hugs and kisses and luv today and evewyday. And member tomowwo be National BLack Cat Day.

Be Careful: It’s That Time

Happy Tuesday to you all. It’s gettin’ to be dat time of year when it turns yucky cold. Sum of you awe alweady gettin’ da chilly wedder and we hope yous stayin’ warm. We just do not like winter here in ow house. And it’s not just cuz of old man awfur-itis, or da leaves dat pile up all ovew ow porch, but cuz it gets all gray and yucky lookin’ outside and da sunpuddles awe fewer and fawther tween. Now yous tell me, what kitty dusn’t enjoy a good sun puddle at least evewy once in a while? Oh well maybe winter won’t over stay this year.

Most of you member we made a posty earlier in the mumff warnin’ ‘bout da dangers of this holiday season to cats, black cats in purrticular. Well this is da week and there awe festivities of all kinds happenin’’wound da world, so purrlease member to keep all yous pets safe, by keepin’ them inside. And ifin yous havin’ company and yous pet’s not so social, cweate them a nice little hide away complete wiff food and water, litter boxes, toys, and ear plugs. MOL No, weez not weally mean ear plugs, but maybe yous kuld leave da teevee or radio on fur us to kinda drowned out da sound. When mommy and me go out we always leave da teevee on to keep sis Lexi company. And da foo times mommy actually goes sumwhere wiffout me, dat teevee suwe is nice to hav on. Anudder fing to be caweful ‘bout is ifin yous hav darters. Yous know da ones, they dart out da door evewy chance they get. Ifin yous gunna be openin’ and closin’ da doors a lot to twick or tweaters, or guests comin’ and goin’, giv us dat nice little hide away then too. And also member dat altho’ weez might be fascinated by yous “haul”, candy isn’t good fur us and sum of it be down wight toxic to us.

Now sumfin’ yous will rarely see here cuz weez just not hav any, but weez gunna talk a bit ‘bout da two legged little peeps. Purrlease keep yous two legged kiddos safe too. This world has sum weally bad peeps in it dat do “not so nice” fings to da little peeps. So make suwe yous got yous eye on those little ones at all time, and check da haul to make suwe it hasn’t been tampered wiff afur they go to eatin’ it, or better yet; only take ‘em to places and peeps yous know to be safe. And you know a little common sense goes a long way. Even tho’ da little peeps might wanna eat all dat candy at once, unless yous wanna be cleanin’ up fwo up and hav a gallon of da pink stuff in yous fwidge; don’t let ‘em. Weez will be covewin’ mowe ‘bout da holidays and festivities and purrcautions and dangers in da comin’ weeks.

We also wanna take a minute to fank sum of meez fellow Cat Scouts fur sendin’ us da cutest little cawd. Fank yous Tiger, Trouble, Dora, Spooky and Holly. Dat wuz vewy sweet of yous, and yous fotos awe just gawjus. Me also wants to fank awnty Cindy and Maggie Meme fur meez Meowday cawd and gift certificate to da Pizza Hut. WooHoo it’s pizza time. Mommy’s almost got da house in order and hers plannin’ a pawty fur me. Meez heard her last night askin’ Buddy ifin hims wanted to come to meez pawty, so me knows it’s gunna be a blast.

And hey, don’t furget dat tomowwo be National Cat Day. Isn’t dat gweat, weez hav ow own day! As ifin mommy needed anudder weason to hug and luv on us. But yep, dat’s zackly what she’s gunna be duin’. And lots of it. WooHoo And then da nex day is National Black Cat Day. Let’s flood social media wiff gawjus fotos and heart warmin’ stowwies of those black booties and dispel da myff dat they bwing bad luck or awen’t as good as udder kitties.

Happy Munday to you all. Yes, sis Lexi has lots of stowwies to tell’ ‘bout me, da same as me has lots to tell ‘bout her. And da twuff is, dat weez weally do get along well and luv each udder vewy much. Anyways, lots of yous enjoyed da stowwy sis Lexi told yous yesfurday, and weez weally glad yous did. And yep weez did jump ahead in puttin’ up da pawsum header dat Miss Ann made fur us. But we don’t celebwate halloween, and we felt so blest fur hers to hav chosen us to benefit fwum hers amazin’ talents. Me will tell ya’ when we opened ow email and saw whet she had dun, we wuz so happy we did da happy kitty dance and mommy did………well, mommy had da happy tears. Anyways, weez just wanted to be able to use da header as long as pawssible so dat’s why we jumped da gun. Smile

Sum of you post fur fun and make us laff and sum of you post fur education and weez all learn a little sumfin’. Mommy sez da day weez stop learnin’ is da day we stop bein’ useful, cuz nopawdy knows evewyfin’ and weez shuld be learnin’ till da day we die. So we we passin’ these awards along to all of you. Now dat mommy be feelin’ a bit better, hers gunna be finishin’ up wound da house so dat me will hav zoomie space galore fur meez Meowday/Birffday. We did get asked why we celebwate all mumff long, and da answer be vewy simple; Mommy adores us. Smile And meez Meowday is da November da 1st and mommy dusn’t get paid till da 3rd, and sis Lexi’s Meowday is April 29ff and by then mommy’s outta munny. So a long time ago hers decided to celbwate all mumff long. On ow special day, weez get special noms, and then da rest of da mumff weez get extwa tweats and luvvin’ and playin’ and all those fings we get evewyday, just mowe of ‘em.
