Mystery Plumber Revealed

Meowllo Fursday, so glad you kuld make it. What a week weez had. Fankfully weez one day closer to da weekend. Smile Da mysterious plumber guy finally arrived Tuesday afternoon and came in wiff nuffin’ but dat S shaped screwdriver. Mommy knew immediately nuffin’ was gunna get dun and we was gunna be left wiff da stench fur yet another day. Ifin you wanna know how to over spend green papers on everything, take notes from our pawrtment management company. They won’t purrfurm purrventative maintenance cuz it costs money. But when sumfin’ finally breaks they gotta send sumpawdy out to make sure it’s broken and then send them out again to fix or replace it. You know they buy da cheapest appliances they can find and then gripe and complain when they don’t last furever.

Anyways, da plumber, who really was a plumber, hit da switch and nuffin’ happened. Then he got down on da floor and unscrewed da disposal and flipped da switch again. He then turned to mommy and sed, “Well that ain’t workin’ at all, is it? I’ll go tell da manager you need a new one.” Duh, mommy sed dat da furst day. Dat’s what she thought, but she didn’t say, stead she just smiled and sed, “Great, thank you.” So anyways, he went to tell da manager and came back and told mommy he wuld be back sumtime Wednesday. When he arrived on Wednesday do you know what he did? He flipped da switch. As ifin by sum miracle it was suddenly gunna work. MOL  Well it didn’t and so he finally took it out and put another one in. We fink it was a rebuild cuz it had a stench to it too. Or maybe our noses was just clogged up wiff stench. MOL  Well 2 service calls and repair and replace charges later, we finally have a workin’ garbage disposal again. Fank catness cuz mommy was goin’ a little nuts. Mommy sed it’s amazin’ how much you begin to rely on sumfin’ dat she never had till she moved here. And not to worry, mommy used sum of dat lemon smellin’ garbage disposal cleanin’ stuff to get da stench out. So weez back in business.

 

We still be havin’ da Open ID twubbles so weez started usin’ our google id to comment on those blogs what won’t allow us to leave our name and website infurmation on. Mommy hates google almost as much as facebook, but sumtimes you just gotta do fings you don’t like.

 

And speakin’ of duin’ things one dusn’t like, sis Lexi be goin’ to da VET Furiday afternoon, so we hope you will keep her in yous purrayers. She’s duin’ much better and is almost all fru wiff da antibiotics. But da VET man sed she had to come in fur a look see when we finally talked to him After da new year. It’s been stormin’ here purretty much non stop, so weez hopin’ it clears up; least fur a bit while mommy and sissy go to da VET. Every meownin’ we wake up hopin’ to see mr. Sun shine and yet every meownin’ all we see is mr. cloud and gray skies. Anyways, we got a kupple gift cards to da WallyWorld fur Christmas, so me magines mommy and sissy will stop by there and pick up sum treats afur comin’ home. Least me hopes so. It’d be a crime to go to da big little city and not stop by there. Right? MOL

Still Crazy This Year

Well so far it hasn’t been any less crazy round here this year than it was last year. Me thinks fur dat to happen we wuld have to become totally different cats and peep and move to sum far away place. Guess we will keep our crazy, weez kinda used too it. MOL  So anyways, da garbage disposal went out over da weekend while mommy was usin’ it. So da sink smelled really disgustin’ yesfurday when mommy reported it to da manager fur fixin’ or replacin’. Of course da manager thinks mommy knows nuffin’ so she sed she wuld be down in a few minutes to look at it. Now mind you it’s not just mommy who knows nuffin’ accordin’ to da manager, all da other residents who moved here from homes they had owned know nuffin’ eever.

So da manager finally comes over and flips da disposal switch and…nuffin’. Mommy told her she had already tried da reset button afur callin’ in da work order. She looked ‘round a minute and then pulled out da S shaped tool what comes wiff everything you gotta put together these days, and fell to da floor. She’s a big lady and when she hit da floor there was a big boom. Me came runnin’ to da kitchen and when me saw her, me hissssssssssed and spit and ran. Me dusn’t like her or da way she’s treated mommy fru da years and me takes every oppurrtunity to let her know. MOL  Anyways, she started unscrewin’ da disposal and had mommy continually flip da switch. Again and again nuffin’ happened. She finally got up and said she wuld need to call her supervisor to get purrmission to call da plumber. Mommy sed she had a doctors pointment so it wuld have to be late afternoon or da next day. Da manager told her it wuld be after 5:00 p.m. when da plumber got off work. Yep sounds kinda shady to us too, but at this point we just want da sinks to drain, da disposer to work and da stench to be gone.

 

So off to da doctor we went. Seems everypawdy round here is sick and da whole waitin’ room was full of snot noses and coughin’ peeps. Fank catness we got right in and hopefully mommy didn’t ketch any of those germs. MOL  It felt like we travelled all over creation, but when we got home it was still afur 5 so mommy started watchin’ fur this mysterious plumber. She was exhausted, but hoped to have everything workin’ again afur sissy and me ate dinner. But by our dinnertime nopawdy had showed up so mommy closed da house up and gave us our noms. Furst thing this meownin’ mommy called da office to get a status update ‘bout dat mystery plumber and was told he wuld be here today sumtime after 4:00 p.m. cuz he usually handles things out here on his way home. Yep, still sounds shady but da stench today is worse than yesfurday, so we just want it fixed.

And we gotta get wiff those helps peeps today ‘bout our open id so we can start commentin’ again. So it looks like da start of another crazy day in Deziz World fur all of us. And while all this be goin’ on mommy’ll be tryin’ to ketch up on last seasons’ Teen Wolf. Me knows. Mommy hasn’t been a teen in a long time, and she never saw da actual movie but she got hooked on da series when it furst came on. (Fur those of ya’ wunnerin’, it’s on MTV) And hey, we saw this video da other day of sumpawdy feedin’ their kitties frozen mice. As you know mommy’s twyin’ to switch us to a raw food diet, but she isn’t quite sure she’s ready fur us to nom on a mousey, frozen or otherwise. MOL 

 

How ‘bout you? Wuld you be inclined to eat a diet of frozen mouseys? Or wuld you as peeps feed yous kitties frozen mouseys? By da way, this be a serious question.

First Blest Sunday of 2016

Oh meow it’s da furst Blest Sunday of da New Year. Our furst blessing to give thanks fur is dat we are all still here to spend it together. Dat’s a huge blessing of course. Me wuld also like to take a minute and pawlogize to meez furiends on Blogger. Pawently there was a weather phenomenon on Furiday dat messed wiff sum lectronics and well, we can’t comment. We keep gettin’ told our Open ID can’t be verified. This happened a while back, pawently this phenom wasn’t da furst of it’s kind. Anyways, da nice helps peeps had us clear our cache and all was well again. So we spent a whole day duin’ just dat, and…nuffin’. Didn’t work at all!!! And those nice helps peeps are closed fur da holidays. So we purromise we are readin’ your postys, but we just can’t comment, lessen you allow our name and website option. We know a lot of ya’ don’t fur reasons of da spam nature, so all we can tell ya’ is dat we hope to be back in commentin’ business soon. Mommy has her monthly doctors’ pointment tomorrow so we won’t be able to get any help till at da earliest, Tuesday. Da blessing here is dat you all will be patient and still luv us, and we can get help.

Alright now dat da business be outta da way let’s get on wiff meez posty. Mr. W sez there’s a new little stray ‘round our pawtments. We haven’t seen him, but mr. W sez it’s a him and he looks like sis Lexi wiffout a tail. We made sure mr. W had sum noms to give da little guy cuz pawently he likes to go and visit wiff mr. W’s kitty Buddy. We just hope him’s not mr. bobcat dat used to visit our other neighbor at night when he used his exercise bike, or dat visited our other neighbor who can’t see 2 inches in front of her face. You know we be inside only kitties. But fur da furst kupple years dat mommy lived here one of da neighbor ladies used to tell mommy dat she fed her cats or gave them milk while mommy was gone up town. At furst mommy thought she was just feedin’ a stray or feral kitty cuz she knew her kitties was tucked away safely in da house. Dat is till da day mommy came home to find da sweet neighbor lady feedin’ one of da wild bobcats from our woods and yellin’ at mommy dat she wuld send her kitty home after it finished eatin’. And then she purrceeded to attempt to pet da bobcat. Mommy knew she kuldn’t see a thing and hollered back dat we wasn’t furiendly and she shuldn’t twy to pet us. MOL  You know old folks will feed anything. Da town’s figgered dat out too and generally when sumpawdy has a kitty they don’t want anymore they drop it off out here. Amazingly enuff we didn’t have any drop offs this last summer, but it’s pawssible da little kitty mr. W is feedin’ is a winter drop off. Till we get a look see we just can’t say fur certain.

We were blest to win a give away dat Playful Kitty held right afur Christmas and yesfurday da FedEx man dropped off a kupple boxes fur us. We got this cool X shaped scratcher and a sisal wrapped rollin’ weight shaped scratcher.  

 

I tried out dat X scratcher when mommy got it put together Dezi, and it’z purretty cool. I’z a little wobbly on minez feet these dayz so I don’t know ‘bout da rollin’ scratcher. I fink dat’z awl yourz. MOL

Y Fank you sissy, but me hasn’t given dat one a try yet eever. They call it a scratchin’ wheel, but we think it looks like a barbell. But yous so  right, dat X scratcher is purretty cool. And they look really nice. You know mommy likes da darker colored woods and these scratchers are trimmed in an espresso colored wood like finish. They seem purretty sturdy too. Our other really big blessing is havin’ all of you in our lives fur another fun filled year. We hope and purray fur many more years to come. Well, all dat talk of scratchers has me itchin’ to scratch. So me will wrap it up fur now and go scratch a bit. And we actually membered da Sunday selfies this week, so weez joinin’ our furiends over at The Cat On My Head fur their furst selfies of da new year.

Happy New Year Dezi. We heard ya’ da furzt time. Da whole neighborhood purrobly heard ya’. What’z got you so eggz-sided today? 

(Dezi walks halfway down the Liberty tree and settles in on one of the shelves and meows) 

Oh sissy meez so happy. Da new year is here and you and me and mommy are all still together and da SUN IS SHINING!! Fur da furst time in days we have sunshine. It’s like da whole world knows today is a furesh start day.

A furesh start day huh. What on earth are you talkin’ about?

Well sissy sum humans make these things called resolutions. They say they’re gunna change up sumfin’ in their lives. A lot of times it’s fings like lose weight or quit sum bad habit they have. Altho’ seems more offen than not most peeps don’t actually keep those resolutions. Mommy sez she dusn’t make resolutions and never has. She sez ifin you wanna make a change you shuld just do it no matter what  time of year it is. So me thought ‘stead of a resolution me wuld post a challenge fur all our furiends. 

A challenge Dezi? I fink youz miz-understandin’ what a rezolushun iz. A rezolushun iz sumfin’ a purrson setz fur themselvez. 

Me knows sissy, me didn’t misunnerstand. But ifin peeps can’t keep da challenges they set fur themselves, then maybe they can keep one issued by another. Mommy sed it was a good idea when me talked to her ‘bout it.  

Well then Dezi, what’z da challenge?

You know sissy so many anipals was helped and found furevver homes this past year fanks to social media and lots of our furiends. So me wuld like to challenge everypawdy to help at least one more kitty than they did last year. Mommy sez dat all rescuers know “you can’t save them all”; but me finks ifin we all help one more than last year this year and then one more than this year next year and so on, then just maybe we kuld. We kuld fur sure save a few more than da year afur. And ifin everypawdy got on board then how many more fews wuld dat be?  

Well Dezi youz be right. Dat’z fur shur an argument I’z kan’t refute. So, did youz habz sumkitty to share?

Me sure duz Lexi. Hers name is Rachael and isn’t she a beauty?!! She’s in da Pauls Valley, Oklahoma shelter. She’s had a ruff road so far but is duin’ gweat now. She came to da shelter as a pregnant stray. She had hers babies and got a really bad infection and lost a breast. But she’s all healed up now and FIV/FeLV negative, spayed and current on all her vaccinations. She’s a purretty little calico girly dat wuld do best in a home all hers own. She’s a real luvver she is. Altho’ ifin you was to take innerductions slowly, she kuld warm up to another kitty or two. Ifin yous innerested in her you can call da shelter at: 405-238-1303. Pauls Valley only adopts kitties to inside homes and da adoption fee is $50.00. Now dat’s a steal fur a lifetime of luvvin’ ifin you ask me.
