Our Blessings on Sunday

Meowllo evewypawdy and a happy and blest Sunday to  you. This is ow favowite posty of da week. We get to list sum of ow blessings and wemind udders to count theirs as well. This past week has been ruff on a lot of us. We had roofers here all week, and fank catness they don’t work on Sundays or mommy wuld purrawlly scweam, but they awe a blessin’ cuz ow pawtment needed a new roof and gutters. So migwaine and noise aside, they awe a blessing.

We also weceived help getting’ ow tire fixed so we kuld take Lexi to da Vet fur a wecheck of hers CRF. And da news we got ‘bout sis Lexi duin’ so much better than docs udder patients wiff hers condition is also a blessing. And we got help buyin’ hers medicine fur this mumff. And we weceived a kupple nip mats what weez been wantin’ fur da longest time. And just as spected, We Luv ‘em. And cuz of ow sweet furiends, we each hav ow very own. Now those awe tangible blessings dat we can see and feel. But we hav udder blessings as well.

We awe ever so gwateful fur these tangible blessings, but we awe also gwateful fur da ones we can’t weally see.  You know da ones. Da luv and purrayers of all ow furiends and fwamily. We know you be sendin’ ‘em cuz da Vet sed dat Lexi’s gweat condition is on account of mommy’s care, but we know it’s cuz of all da luv and purrayers she’s weceived. You know da peeps dat helped us wiff financial fings had to spend their munny afur it did any good. Dusn’t matter how much munny yous have, ifin yous not pay da went yous wuld be homeless. Ifin yous not pay fur food and supplies, you wuld die of stawvation. See havin’ munny dusn’t mean much, it’s how you spend it dat makes da diffewence. And Luv is a lot like dat too. We be evew so fankful to those dat spent their gween papers to help us.

You can hav a huge heart full of luv, but till you give dat luv away, it means nuffin’. It dusn’t benefit you or anypawdy else. Mowe offen than not when you share yous luv you weceive luv wight back. We like to fink we be spweadin’ da luv wound as much as we can. Evewy once in a while you share yous luv to sumpawdy and they don’t share it back. Mommy sez those awe da times when you share a little mowe. You not know what they be goin’ fwu, and they might just need a little extwa to help ‘em on their way. Sum peeps call this pawin’ it furward. Da twuff is you never know what da future holds and how you might have helped sumpawdy hoo in turn helps sumpawdy else in da future all cuz you shared a bit of luv and kindness. As always we awe so blest to have each and evewy one of you in ow lives. And member no matter what you be goin’ fwu you will make it and come out on da udder side mowe blest than afur.

Mommy sez we don’t have much, but we have each udder. And dat includes all of you. And altho’ she may not always have evewyfin’ she needs we do and dat’s what counts. She sez we have da mostest purrtant fing in da universe and dat be Luv. A luv dat we share so it can gwo and gwo and gwo. Meowllo evewypawdy hope you all membered to turn yous clocks up an hour and schedule yous posties accowdinly…cuz we didn’t. MOL Of course we hav one of those atomic clocks in da house dat be on da old time change schedule so it’s been an hour ahead all winter. Today it wuz actually wight. MOL And da lectwonics all changed on their own too, but da old battewy opewated wall clocks wiff da big nummews dat mommy can see wiffout glasses wuz all wong. Yes we still hav a foo fings in ow house dat hav to be set manually. So weez’ll be duin’ sum of dat today.

Well as you know ifin yous wead ow post yesfurday, mommy took a fall Furiday when we wuz out getting’ hers medicine. We awe so very blest dat she didn’t get seriously hurt. Just a bwuised hineybo and ego. And weez blest dat there wuz sum nice peeps dat came and helped her and caught me afur me stwolled away down da stweet. We awe twuly countin’ ow blessins fur this one. When we got up yesfurday we noticed we hav a flat tire on da caw. Fur sure dat’s not a blessin’ and weez not sure what weez gunna do ‘bout it, but at least dat’s a mommy worry. Sissy’s posed to go to da Vet on Tuesday so hopefully mommy can figger sumfin’ out. We knew ow tires wuz bad, but we just don’t hav da gween papers to buy new ones, and Oklahoma is workin’ on passin’ a law dat wuld mean no more used tires. We can’t weally afford da used ones eevew, but at least their ‘bout $10.00 cheaper than da new ones. Hopefully weez’ll make it to Lexi’s pointment. We will keep you all updated ifin we can get there. Anyways…

We got a purresent fwum Miss Ellen and da kitties over at 15 and meowin’. You know dat Miss Ellen be very talented and she makes a lot of gweat fings fur bootyful Phoebe to giv away. Wecently she held one fur a nip mat dat she made. We hav looked at these a lot and weally wanted one, but it’s outta ow purrice wange on a good day. And now wiff sissy needin’ to see da Vet evewy 6 weeks and needin’ hers spensive medicine we fur sure don’t hav any extwa gween papers. Fankfully so faw, you all hav been wunnewful and helped us out to get hers medicine. A meowsy big fank you to all of ya’ dat hav helped. Anyways, she held this giv away and we didn’t win. Ow pawsum furiends da Twout Town Tabbies did. But turns out Miss Ellen had made 2 mats, and we wuz da wunnew up and she wuz sendin’ us one too.

Talk ‘bout bein’ ‘cited, we wuz duin’ da happy kitty dance. We luv Miss Ellen’s made wiff luv toys so we knew da mat wuld be pawtastic. But just when we didn’t fink it kuld get any better, those Twout Town Tabbies went and told Miss Ellen to giv theirs to us too. And Miss Ellen’s gunna make them a fishy toy. Well we got one of those mats just da udder day, and OMC It’s purrfect!!! Just as we fawt it wuld be. Me rolled wound and wallered on it fur a while and then sissy came up and we had a little game of whacky paw sniff sniff on da mat. Then me got up and let sissy hav a turn. And to answer da question we got, mommy puts all da new stuff in da middle of da floor and lets us play wiff it fur a day or two so she can get fotos and sumtimes videos. Then it goes to what will be it’s new home and outta da middle of da floor. So no, all ow toys awe not in da middle of a floor all da time. Altho’ we do dwag out a lot of them and mommy let’s us. She sez we work hawd and shuld be able to play hawd. And since we don’ hav much company, like rarely, then it’s okay dat da floor be strewn about wiff toys. Anyways, we awe sure blest to hav such pawsum furiends. Fanks Tabbies and special fanks Miss Ellen. You did a gweat job. We can’t wait till da udder one gets here so we can lay side by side. Mommy also sed this wuld be a gweat fing to put in da stwoller on Vet days.

We awe as always blest to hav so many wunnewful furiends. Seems we kinda stay behind these days, and da captchas on da blogger blogs means dat we only comment on one post stead of all of ‘em, but we awe weadin’ yous posties. And we sumtimes twy to combine ow comments. We just want ya’ to know dat we luv y’all and get a little cwazy when we miss a posty. We luv keepin’ up wiff evewypawdy. We count ow blessings each and evewyday, and you ow wunnewful furiends and fwamily awe da gweatest blessin’. We never knew there wuz so many wunnewful peeps and anipals out there. Meowllo evewypawdy and a blest Sunday to ya’. Mommy, Lexi and me got an invitation of sorts in da email da udder day, but well as wiff most stuff tech, mommy didn’t quite unnewstand it and then we furgot and missed it. What wuz it you ask? Well  it wuz a discussion/lesson by a panel of pawsum Cat writers/bloggers. At least nex time weez’ll unnewstand da invite and be able to set a’minder fur it. Cuz we watched it after da fact, and it wuz pawsum!!! Altho’ me knows da panel of ladies rarely weads meez bloggy, me wuld like to fank them fur their time and infurmation. Ifin yous a blogger of any kind yous oughtta check it out here. Altho’ da panel wuz made up of Cat Bloggers, da infurmation given wuz good fur all bloggers.

They talked ‘bout bwandin’ and integwity. You know weez been vewy blest. When we stawted in social media we made it clear dat we wuld always tell da twuff no matter what. Dat meant even when it didn’t put a good light on us or even ifin it hurt us, we wuz gunna tell it like it is. And most of ow furiends/followers tell us dat they like and wespect dat ‘bout us, and they believ us when we say sumfin’. Dat makes us very purroud and honored, but it also means we be held to a higher standawd. We hav to work hawder ifin weez postin’ sumfin’ educational specially, cuz you ow furiends awe welyin’ on us to giv you da facts, not just ow opinion. You awe twustin’ us to not mislead you or giv you bad infurmation. Dat be da integwity pawt.

Course integwity also means stayin’ twu to hoo we awe. Dat be purretty easy fur us cuz mommy hates lyin’ and fakeness. We hope to continue to be kitties you can twust and weez plan on workin’ hawd to purrove yous twust is not misgivin’. Of course we will continue hav fun and make those kinds of posties. But we also hope to bwing you more educational/infurmative posties as well. Me guesses ifin we wuz da kind dat made New Years wesolutions this wulda been ows. We don’t make wesolutions cuz more offen than not they get bwoken wiffin da furst kupple weeks, but we fink we can all stwive to be better. As long as you member to be twuff-ful in all you do and say and never furget dat weez all capable of learnin’ sumfin new (cuz nopawdy knows it all) then you be well on yous way to bein’ better.

 

They also talked ‘bout bwandin’. And how ow blog wuz ow bwand, and it’s what defines us. Da fings we post shuld match up wiff hoo we awe and what ow goals awe fur ow bloggy. One of da fings we be known fur is ow Blest Sunday posties and findin’ da good in fings and bein’ a pawsitiv furce. We weally like bein’ known fur dat, cuz there’s enuff bad and negativ fings in da world wiffout addin’ to it. We hope you continue to bear wiff us as we work towards makin’ ow blog one dat be innewestin’, worff da visit and full of integwity and most purrtant luv.

Wiffout you all visitin’ weadin’ and commentin’ this wuld just be a diawy. So we hope hope dat you will always be honest wiff us. And ifin you ever hav questions ‘bout us or sumfin’ weez written purrlease feel furee to ask. When we do ow educational posties we do a lot of wesearch afur sayin’ sumfin’ definitive, and we twy to always giv you a link to ow wesources, but we did learn dat purrhaps we shuld be notin’ those wesources at da end of ow posties also. So we awe gunna be better ‘bout dat in da future. Mommy sez dat we be a blest genewation cuz there’s so much infurmation available these days and it’s much easier to access it. We also learned we weally need a mentor. Hopefully weez’ll be goin’ to BlogPaws and we can find one there. Course mommy sez we can find one anywhere, and there be lots of peeps we weally admire and fink wuld be gweat mentors. But we also know it takes a lot of time and we don’t wanna impose on anyone. We know most of ya’ lead very busy lives, so ifin we evew get da courage to ask ya’ purrlease feel furee to say No. We won’t be offended or get ow feelins hurt.

Meowllo evewypawdy hope yous stayin’ safe and warm. Weez purrayin’ fur all da poor kitties hoo be out in this cold wiffout a luvvin furever home. Meez gunna tell ya’ just why we had such a pawful day on Furiday. Sissy kuldn’t wait and blabbed a little on hers facebook page yesfurday; but she didn’t telll da whole stowry. And OMC it be sleetiin’ outside wight now. There’s posed to be 1-3 inches of ice accumulation. And then ifin dat wusn’t bad ‘nuff, weez spectin’ SNOW!!! OMC weez just want winter to go away. Cuz on top of dat nasty ice weez posed to get 1-3 inches of snow accumaulated. Dat be 2-6 inches of yuck ifin you ask me.

Anyways back to Furiday. Evewyfin’ had been goin’ gweat. Boff sis Lexi and me had been eatin’ all and me duz mean all ow noms and playin’ togedder and snugglin’ wiff mommy to keep us all warm. So we went to bed Fursday night just like always. And sumtime duwin’ da night meez tummy stawted to wumble and ache. Me got up a foo times to eat a bit of gwass, but it didn’t seem to be helpin’. Well finally me wuz able to settle in and get sum sleep wiff mommy and Lexi. And then wight afur time to get up me had to go use da pawdee box. It didn’t take long afur mommys sleepy nose smelled sumfin’ afowl in da air. She woke up and we went ‘bout ow meownin’ massages and got mommy to da pawdee box woom where she saw da pawdee box. She smelled it too, cuz me hadn’t boddered to cover it up. MOL She looked at it fwu hers half sleepy eyes and sed, “OMC If it didn’t smell so bad I’d think it was throwup.”  But alas it wusn’t fwo up. Which became painfully obvious to mommy and sissy da minute me hiked meez tail up and showed them meez bloomers and legs.

Mommy sed in dat sweet and sleepy voice, “Oh sweet Dezi, I’m so sorry yous tummy hurts.” Good fing mommy kuld use hers awms and hands cuz she had to clean da pawdee box and me afur we kuld even fink ‘bout bwekky. Of course me had to grrrrrrrowl a bit and hiss a time or two while she cleaned me up. Gotta keep up appearwances you know. Alltho’ me has to tell ya’ dat those of ya’ hoo purrfur to clean yous own mess awe a little cwazy. Dat stuff stinks, and it fur sure don’t taste good. Anyways once clean, off to da kitchen we went. Mommy got sissy hers butter spoon and stawted ow bwekky when she wealized me wuz nowhere in sight. Mommy called to me and me emerged fwum wound da corner and walked over to mommy wiff meez tail up high and wubbed hers leg. Yep, yous guessed it, me needed cleanin’ again.

This went off and on all day long. Mommy only had time to answer a foo emails. And lots of times she had to take a bweak fwum typin’ ow weply to take care of me. Fank catness awnty Jennifer and gwand awnty Peggy had sent mommy sum coffee or hers might hav been mumblin’ da whole time. Finally wound 330 Caturday meownin’ after lots of purrayers and gwass and time spent in da pawdee box me stopped and wuz able to settle down and go to sleep. Caturday wuz much better. Me didn’t weally eat much Furiday, mostly cuz me kuldn’t stay outta da pawdee box long nuff, but also cuz meez tummy hurt. Me jumped up in mommys lap a time or two and let ‘er wip. No, not dat, me tooted. MOL And of course me did it when me had meez hineybo facin’ mommy. She wusn’t amused. MOL But she didn’t complain, she just hugged me and purrayed fur me.  We fawt it wuz over Caturday cuz meez stools wuz no longer a wunny mess dat landed all over meez bloomers and legs. Me did hav a softy this meownin’, but nuffin’ like Furiday and meez tummy dusn’t hurt anymore.

Me is so blest to hav a mommy hoo luvs me so much dat no matter how many times me needs to be cleaned up; she will do it wiffout complainin’. Mommy did say it wuz iwonic dat da very day we posted ‘bout how much ow mommy luvs us and why we luv hers back, meez wuld need so much of dat messy dirty luv. MOL Anudder blessin’ we got yesfurday wuz fur mommy. She found a pork chop and a kupple taters on da chair on da porch. Mommy wuz so ‘cited and made hers sum fwench fwies and baked up dat pork chop. Altho sissy and me didn’t get a bit. Mommy sed since meez tummy had been so upset just da day afur, she didn’t wanna take any chances. Hmmmph, A likely stowry. 

And in udder news…what’s up wiff da blogger captchas? OMC Sum times we only hav to check da box, and sumtimes we get those hawd to wead letters and nummews, and now weez getting’ cakes and steaks and beers!!! Oh Me!! Mommy sez ifin she has to look at anudder filet mignon or NY stwip hers gunna scweam. MOL Nuffin’ like showin’ a hungwy meat eater da bestest cuts of da beef. MOL  And today weez gunna be havin’ a little fun over at da Tabby Cat club and Cat Scouts wiff a Oscar pawty. Now weez not know much ‘bout this Oscar, but we did get to get all dwessed up and wide in a limo. (virtually of course)  As always weez so gwateful to hav all of you in ow lives. We hav da bestest furiends and fwamily. So awe we blest? Yes, tummy ache and all, we awe so twuly blest to hav a warm and cozy furever home, a luvvin’ mommy, luvvin’ furiends and fwamily and altho’ it’s cold and gway and wet and white…anudder day to live and be togedder.
