Hey everypawdy, it’s me, RaenaBelle. You are never gonna believe what happened yesfurday. White stuffs came fallin’ from the sky!!! Sure ‘nuff, little balls of hard white stuffs were everywhere. They were too small to be dippin’ dots, and mommy said they weren’t edible anyways. Did you see ‘em sissy?

Yeah Raena, me saw ‘em. Fankfully, they didn’t stick ‘round or get any bigger. Those little balls weren’t snow. Not that we want snow, but ice is fur sure not somethin’ we want. It’s way too early fur that. Besides, did you hear mommy say we’re gonna have to move right after Christmas?

Move? She was only kitten, right?

Nope Raena, that fur sure wasn’t the face of a joke. And any time mommy starts talkin’ ‘bout needin’ to talk to lawyers and file complaints, it ain’t no laffin’ matter. Anyways, guess that’s why mommy said we weren’t decoratin’ fur Christmas this year. And with the car on the fritz with a busted gasket, we’re purrobably not gonna be able to go out light seein’.

Oh well sissy, that means more cuddle time with mommy. I’s so luvs cuddle time.

Me hopes so Raena, but you’ve never been ‘round durin’ a move. Trust me, it ain’t as fun as it sounds. It ain’t like packin’ an overnight bag and stayin’ in a hotel. It’s like wall the wall boxes and stuffs everywhere. Won’t be no slidin’ down the hall on piddle pads fur you.

Really sissy? Fur how long? Where are we goin’?

Who knows Raena, mommy’s lived in her car more than a couple of times in her life. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Anyways, It’s Christmas time and time to think ‘bout good things and fun. We’re gonna be postin’ our final and all inclusive Gift Guide Furiday. Me can’t hardly wait.

Me neither sissy. I’s think we’ve picked out some really pawsum stuffs. We even sourced some great silvervine fur all those kitties with a more discernin’ palette. Sorry you didn’t really like the kitty nug that was pawrt of your birthday purresent. But I’s was glad you liked some of the things in the Pawrty Pack.

Fanks Raena. Me saw you enjoyin’ the nug, so you can have it. Mommy had thought we were gettin’ at least a couple of ‘em based on the description. Maybe we only got the one cuz we bought it with a steep discount. Anyways, just give me some of that silvervine and valerian root and me can be one happy kitty girl.

Valerian root? I’s never tried that sissy. Is it good?

Well Raena, ifin you’re nice to me today, I’s might ask mommy to share some with ya’.

MeOW RaenaBelle, you really did a great job with me’s carnival pawrty. Me wasn’t sure at furst, but you really do have some good ideas after all. The ice cream truck was a great hit. And everypawdy looked so pawsum in their masks. Me knows you worked really hard purrin’ it all together. ‘Specially since our innernets went out and you had to do it all over the weekend. (Dezi walks over to Raena and head bumps her) Fanks, me will plan you a great pawrty next year.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw Fanky fanks sissy. I’s glad you had a good time and liked your pawrty. It was a lotta work and put us way behind in visitin’ our furiends, but ifin you’re happy, it was worth it. Meowin’ of visitin’ our furiends, we’re slowly but surely gettin’ caught up. However, our comments seem to disappear on some of your bloggy’s includin’ the wordpress ones. Now that might be cuz you’re monitorin’ ‘em, but ifin you’re not and don’t see a comment from us in the next few days, purrlease let us know, so we can try to figger out what’s happenin’. You might wanna check your spam folder furst tho’, we have ended up there in the past.

Yeah Raena, me hates it when we get behind. Fankfully most of our furiends unnerstand. On another note, me’s joinin’ the choir at cat scouts, so mommy’s tryin’ to help me record me’s audition track. And me told her she owed our furiends her rendition of Amazing Grace and at least a couple of country songs that they asked fur last year. Now that she has teeth again, she can form words and sing. So it’s gonna be a little busy ‘round here fur the next couple of weeks.

I’s just luvs it when mommy sings sissy. ‘Specially when she sings ‘bout us. She makes up the bestest songs ever.

Me likes it too Raena. But sometimes, the songs she makes up could use a little work. Ya’ know like when she sings, Dezi, sweet as apple pie? Like, is apple pie even sweet? We don’t even like apples.

Yeah well, ya’ might have a point there sissy. I’s not sure ‘bout bein’ her punkin’ pie either; but I’s do luvs it when she says we’re purrfect and her purrecious baby girls.

Me kind’a likes those pawrts too Raena. We really are Blest. Ya’ know, the holidays are here and peeps are startin’ to get really busy.

Sure ‘nuff sissy. I’s had mine’s thinkin’ cap on lately and I’s thinkin’ we should post a gift guide with our top picks. Mommy even received this cool new notebook fur furee, to keep track of all our plans and picks. And, ifin you’re like mommy and still like to use paper notebooks, we think you’d luvs it or one like it. Ya’ oughtta check out TeePublic, they’ve got some really cool things that would make great gifts.

Me thinks that’s a great idea Raena. Guess we better get to work on that befur Christmas sneaks up on us.

MeOW (Dezi paces through the house meowing, only pausing to hiss or growl.) Raena? Oh Raena? RaenaBelle, where are you?!! (Dezi continues to meow, hiss and growl as she checks all the typical hiding spots. She walks into the kitchen where mommy A’s fixing breakfast.) Mommy, where’s Raena? Why didn’t she come back home with you yesfurday?

(Raena emerges from the middle of the scratcher at the edge of the kitchen and walks up to Dezi and raises her paw.) I’s right here sissy. Why…

(Dezi turns and sniffs the air around Raena) Oh me cats Raena, where have you been? Me’s been lookin’ everywhere fur you. You won’t believe what mommy did yesfurday. She brought this, this Thing home. (Dezi shudders) You won’t believe the stench. It smelled and looked just pawful. No matter how many times me hissed and growled at it, it just kept comin’ ‘round. Me furinally lost it at dinner time, only to find it in your spot on the bed. Me couldn’t believe mommy would let it take your spot. Mommy’s always purromissed she’d never leave us, so me doesn’t unnerstand why she’d let some innerloper sleep in your spot? Don’t you worry tho’, me gave that innerloper a piece of me’s mind. Me hissed and growled an screamed at it. Me let it know just how unwelcome it was. It must’ve got the message, cuz me can’t seem to find it anywhere this meownin’.

What do you mean come down from there mommy? Hmmmm

I’s still a little woozy.

Sissy, that wasn’t no innerloper. That was me you were hissin’ and growlin’ at. I’s didn’t feel so good and all I’s wanted was a little luvvin’ from mine’s big sissy; but all you wanted to do was stay away from me. I’s just didn’t unnerstand it at all.

That was you? Nah, no way.

Hey window, where’s the squirrels? What sissy? That’s the wall?

Yep sissy, it was me. ‘Member, I’s had to have surgery yesfurday.

Oh MeOW, that was you Raena. What happened? How’d it go?

Well sissy, I’s was really scared when we furst got there. Mommy held me close and sang to me and cuddled me till I’s quit shakin’. While we were waitin’, there was lots of big woofies that came in. All of them had to check me out. One of ‘em was a slobbery beast. I’s swear, her slobbered more than you do. And another just squatted right there in the middle of the room and peed all over the place. I’s tellin’ ya’, the whole lot of ‘em had really bad manners. Then, these peeps came in with a carrier full of kitties. They were all ‘bout 4 months old. They were meowin’ like crazy. I’s think they were more scared than I’s was. And after overhearin’ what the their peeps wanted, I’s knew why. They were there to be declawed. What’s even worse, is that their peeps wouldn’t lissen to anythin’ mommy said. I’s didn’t know how to comfurt those poor kitties, their lives were fixin’ to take a turn fur the worse and there wasn’t anythin’ we could do ‘bout it.

Oh Raena, that’s so pawful. We’ll have to say some extra purrayers fur them tonight. So, what happened next?

Well sissy, after they took those kitties away, the tech came and got me so mommy could go to the human pawtty box befur mine’s surgery got started. They used that oppurrtunity to shave mine’s face. They even stole some of mine’s whiskers. Ifin mommy hadn’t been indisposed they’d’ve never stole so many. Anyways, I’s ‘member hearin’ mommy’s sweet voice as I’s fell asleep. When I’s woke up, I’s was sore and scared. Seems mommy went to put mine’s medicines away and pay on the bill, so some tech was holdin’ me. I’s dug mine’s claws into her real good. I’s wanted her to hurt like I’s did. Mommy says it took almost 2 hours, but I’s did good and came out of it purretty fast. I’s was still a little groggy when that tech handed me back to mommy. But I’s felt her luvvin’ arms engulf me and hers sweet smell ticklin’ mine’s nose furs. It was heaven. I’s was shiverin’ and just wanted to come home. Mommy put me in the sling carrier she had bought fur us last year, so I’s could be right next to her heart. Mommy tried to post an update to facebutt, but she couldn’t figger it out on the smarty pants fone.

Since it was your actual birthday and cuz I’s did so good, we stopped at the Arby’s to get us a special treat, turkey tom lurkey and bacon. While we were waitin’ fur our treat mommy noticed the car seemed to be gettin’ hot. So, after we got our sammich, mommy pulled over in the pawrkin’ lot and popped the hood. ‘Pawrently, all our antifreeze was missin’. We don’t know where it went cuz there’s no stains back home where we pawrk, but sure ‘nuff, we didn’t have any. We had to walk over to the convenience store next door and buy some so we could make it back home. Fanky fankfully, we made it home safe and sound. Mommy put water bowls on the floor cuz I’s kept lickin’ mine’s lips and she thought I’s might be thirsty. Hmmmpht Like I’s was gonna drink off the floor or somethin’. I’s laid on one of the piddle pads in the hallway fur a bit cuz it felt like I’s needed to hurl. Mommy was a little worried cuz mine’s breathin’ was so labored and raspy.

Me ‘members seein’ It, uh, well, you in the hallway. Me’s sorry me hissed at you; me didn’t know it was you. Me could hear mommy in the kitchen and since we didn’t get any brekky, me was hopin’ she was makin’ brunch.

DO NOT drive with a cat in your lap.

It’s okay sissy. I’s didn’t unnerstand why you were bein’ so mean to me, but I’s was so tired, all I’s really wanted to do was cuddle with mommy and take a nap.

Mommy was exhausted too Raena. Now me unnerstands why she wouldn’t let herself fall to sleep tho’. She wanted to keep an eye on you and make sure nuffin’ happened. Me didn’t know that was you playin’ in the kitchen last night when mommy made our dinner, or me would’a played with you. Me was sure that was the innerloper.

It was just me sissy. Mommy purromissed she’d never leave us and she didn’t. There was no innerloper, just me after surgery. I’s felt much better last night and ate a really good dinner. Fanky fankfully, doctor stabby and grabby sent some meds home to help me with the pain, cuz I’s was hurtin’ a little this meownin’. But, I’s hate that nasty salve he sent home fur mine’s eyes. I’s sure hope mine’s whiskers grow back soon. (Raena licks her paw and wipes across her face)

Ifin ya’ don’t quit pawin’ at your face Raena, mommy’s gonna make you wear that silly collar she bought.

Well, me’s just glad you’re back and okay. Altho’ with so many sendin’ purrayers up and askin’ God to keep His hand on you, we should’ve known everythin’ would be alright. We can still use some purrayers fur a full and speedy recovery fur RaenaBelle. Cuz of her size and shape, the e-collar is more of a hindrance than a help.

Hey everypawdy, it’s me, RaenaBelle. I’s know it ain’t Blest Sunday yet, but I’s sure do wanna fanky fank all of you fur your luvs and suppurrt. Ya’ know, it really warms this little kitty girls’ heart to have so many peeps care ‘bout me. Mommy was talkin’ to her counselor the other day ‘bout mine’s humble beginnings and how I’s had known nuffin’ but a stinky old cage till she came along and bailed me out. I’s don’t really like to think ‘bout all that anymore, cuz I’s livin’ the good life now. I’s got a luvvin’ mommy and the bestest big sisfur ever. Ya’ know, she’s been so nice to me lately, I’s started wonderin’ ifin somethin’ was up. Ya’ know, like ifin she was tryin’ to sell me off on the kittycats list or trade me in fur another model.

RaenaBelle Mayce!!! Don’t be tellin’ peeps me’s tryin’ to get rid of you. You know that ain’t true. (Dezi mumbles under her breath) Besides, mommy would never let it happen.

I’s didn’t say you did it sissy, just that I’s worried you might. You never let me jump on you without hissin’, till the other day. So, you can see why I’s might think somethin’ was up…Right?

No, me’s been nice to you befur. Me’s always nice. Anyways, let’s meow ‘bout somethin’ else. Me’s so ready to see mr. Sunshine again, how ‘bout you?

Yeah sissy, I’s getting’ tired of all the gray. Altho’ I’s did see a few squirrels the other day. Mommy says they’re gatherin’ up their winter supply of nuts. I’s say, ifin they’d just come a little closer, they wouldn’t have to worry ‘bout winter, they’d be on our plates fur dinner. MOL

Like mommy would ever let that happen Raena. Mommy won’t let us walk ‘round on the dirty ground. She fur sure ain’t lettin’ us get all dirty killin’ some squirrel. Hmmmpht Can you ‘magine the bath we’d get after somethin’ like that?

Oooooh Maybe we could have a bubble bath sissy. I’s saw that on tv the other night and it looked like so much fun. Bubbles were everywhere and the peeps were slippin’ and slidin’ all over the place. You know how much I’s luvs a good slide.

Yeah Raena, we all know how much you like to slide everywhere. Me thinks it’s only second to your tv watchin’. Me’s never known a kitty that liked to watch the boob tube as much as you.

Well sissy, ifin I’s hadn’t been watchin’ tv I’s wouldn’t know how to throw you a pawsum birthday/gotchaday pawrty. I’s so x’cited I’s can’t hardly wait.
