Well dear furiends me didn’t get anyfin’ dun yesfurday. Mommy kuldn’t even hold hers head up or hers eyes open. And you all know me needs her to do da typin’. But weez here now and weez gunna be visitin’ you all. Weez’ll get caught up again afur long. Mommy had a house full of nurses/case managers on Monday and it weally took a lot out of her, but she’s better now. She’s been fightin’ off a cold and da doctor told her dat it wuz too soon fur antibiotics, so it’s been slow goin’. And it warmed up today. WooHoo, it’s 50 degwees. MOL

Anyways me got a box fur meez Meow/Gotcha Day fwum meez pawsum furiends unkle and awnty Garth and Mary Beth and Gizmo, Sundance, Alley and da gang. Fank yous so much, we luv it all. And there wuz even a Christmas purresent fur mommy. Christmas you say? Isn’t it a bit early fur Christmas purresents? Well maybe, but awnty Mary Beth wanted mommy to be able to go ahead and stawt usin’ it, so she sent it now. Wiff all dat’s been goin’ on mommy hasn’t had da chance to get ‘em all put up, but her’s gunna do dat this weekend. Now back to me. MOL Me got a chirpy mouse on a stwing and a lot of da little mouseys. There wuz also this cool glitter ball wiff lights. Oh and member dat Santa suit mommy found at da dollaw store? Well awnty Mary Beth found it at hers store and it wuz in da wight size, so she sent it to me. And even sis Lexi got a turn at wearin’ it.

Sis Lexi’s neck is way smaller than meez neck so da minute hers took a step she stawted comin’ out da suit. Mommy had hers lay down weal quick so she kuld get a kupple fotos.

 

She dusn’t go wiff us to da nursin’ homes anymore cuz she dusn’t enjoy it. She got skeered when one of da old peeps stuck their teef out at hers. MOL Can you believe it? Dat dude just stuck out hims teef like we stick out ow tungs. And Lexi wuz sittin’ in hims lap just a purrin’ up a storm till hims did dat. Pawently da gwand kiddos like dat sort of fing. Mommy sez when hers wuz a kid she had an awnty dat did dat, and she fawt it wuz weally cool. But us kitties not find it nearly as amusin’ as da hooman peeps. So Lexi stays home now and mommy and me go and entertain da older folks. Anyways, we fawt you might like to see sum of da fotos of me in meez Christmas suit. Me luvs da little suit. Well, me dusn’t like da hat. Me dusn’t care fur any hat bein’ on meez head, but sis Lexi’s all ‘bout da hats. Hers dusn’t fuss a bit. Well dat’s ‘bout all fur now, so meez’ll get this posted and be wight over to visit wiff you.

A Very Good Day

OMC Time be flyin’ by. Here it is alweady almost da weekend again. Mommy’s makin’ sum headway and we almost hav da whole bedwoom floor back. So since we hav all dat room back again, Lexi and me hav been purracticin’ fur ow vewy own race. Weez been runnin’ at full speed fwu da house. And fur sum weason’ dat just weally amuses mommy. Hers been sittin’ down and watchin’ us and gwinnin’ so much weez fawt hers face wuz stuck. Of course yous all know dat sis Lexi be on up there in years, but hers weally duz play like a yungster. And wiff all da boxes wound hers got all these ladders and steps dat help hers reach fings hers hasn’t been able to jump on by hers selff these last foo years.

So mommy wuz in da kitchen washin’ da bwekky dishes and hers heard da sound of funder wumblin’ fwu da house. Well da last time mommy had looked at da wedder and outside fur dat matter, da sun wuz shinin’ and there wuz no rain in sight. So hers gwabbed da dish towel to dwy hers hands and came to da edge of da dinin’ room where hers wuz met by a flash of white fluff and then a black stweak. Mommy stopped dead and then  WHOOSH a flash ob black followed immediately by a flash of white floof and POUND, POUND, SQUISH! Lexi wuz chasin’ me and then me wuz chasin’ hers. And when weez got to da bedroom weez hopped fwum 1 box to da udder and landed on da bed and rolled wound. We boff looked up and saw mommy standin’ at da doorway wiff da dish towel hangin’ fwum hers hand and hers eyes leakin’ all ovew da place. And Lexi and me wuz boff just layin’ there lookin’ at hers and then mommy came ovew and crawled on da bed wiff us and held us close and da wumble of purrs stawted.

Mommy pawlogized fur all da upset weez been fwu lately and da messy house and havin’ all ow stuffs packed up and bein’ cawted off to motels and not havin’ da room to run and play fur so long. And lexi and me nuzzled in a little closer and meowed to mommy. Yous know what weez wuz sayin’? Dat weez didn’t cawe and dat it wuz okay. Cuz da whole time mommy wuz wight there wiff us. And dat’s all weez needed. Now don’t get me wong, weez enjoyin’ gettin’ mowe and mowe of ow pawtment back and bein’ able to play, but weez wuldn’t want it ifin mommy wusn’t here wiff us. Once ow little luv fest wuz ovew, mommy went back to washin’ da dishes and Lexi went to take a nap and me went to watch ovew mommy while hers worked. And of course me had to play in a foo boxes while hers unpacked and wiff a foo toys when hers took bweaks. All in all……a vewy good day. Open-mouthed smile  And guess what? Weez gunna do it again tomowwo.   Smile

Weez got sum gweat news, but mommy sez weez hav to wait a bit to tell it to yous all. In da meantime weez wanna say fank yous to Savannah and hers mommy fur puttin’ tugedder this fundraiser to help us wepkace a foo fings dat wuz lost in da floods. Ifin yous haven’t checked it out yet yous can by clickin’ here. And weez wanna fank da wunnewful anonymous donor dat visited and left gween papers fur us yesfurday. So Fank yous, weez weally purreciate it.

Hiccup, Hiccup…

Well when we last left yous mommy wuz packin’ up so da new floors kuld be laid.  Mommy got wound and per da welease hers signed she put all da lectronics and pawtant stuff outside and in da baff tub and onto counter tops.  And then hers sat in da silence and waited.  Wound ‘bout noon they finally showed up.  After walkin’ inside they looked wound and sed weez don’t move anyfin’ but sofas and big items.  Weez don’t move yous boxes or purrsonal items.  And then they asked fur da managers name and went out and called sumpawdy.  Then da manger came down and after banter back and forff wiff them and on da fone to their company, asked mommy ifin hers kuld move evewyfin’ out.  Mommy wuz livid and told them according to the welease hers signed, all she had to move wuz da lectronics and delicates and antiques (we don’t hav any antiques).  Then they asked mommy ifin hers kuld hav it all moved out by Caturday.  Mommy purromptly told them NO!!! And furthermowe it wusn’t hers job as it wusn’t hers fault that any of this happened and she didn’t cawe hoo they had to hire, but she wasn’t movin’ anudder fing!!!  By 12:30 da floor men left and da manager went to da office to call hers snoopervisor.  A foo minutes later da manger comes down and tells mommy dat they’s gunna hire movers to come and put evewyfin’ in a pod one day and come back and empty it da nex so da floors can be done.  Hers also told mommy dat she had a call into a company and wuz waitin’ on a bid and appwoval.  So, mommy moves all da stuff hers had put outside back in da house.  At this point mommy be dead on hers feet and hurtin’ sumfin pawful.  But at least it’s all gunna be dun wight and at da same time.  (all da floors will be weplaced)  

 

Then weez get to yesfurday.  Mommy gets a call fwum da lawyer and is told dat da snoopervisors snoopervisor wuz told by da manager dat mommy hadn’t packed or dun anyfin’ and they had to pay a $300.00 fee fur nuffin’ and they wanted mommy to pay it.  Oh NO they didn’t!!!!  Mommy told da lawyer zackley what happened and sent hers da welease hers had signed.  Da lawyer spoke wiff this Louis guy (snoopervisors snoopervisor) and now hims posed to be workin’ on it.  So needless to say weez still don’t hav new floors and da house be a mess.  There be boxes and bags evewywhere. Mommy finally got da tub emptied today so hers kuld take a much needed shower.  All purrayers and cwossed paws welkum as weez wuld just like to get this dun and ovew wiff so weez can get ow house back to nowmal and stawt livin’ again stead of just existin’.  This has been goin’ on fur almost a whole munff now.  Fur heaven’s sake weez alweady hav a new neighbor in da pawtment where all this stawted. 

 

Weez fawt we wuld shawe sum of da fotos of me gettin’ in da way helpin’ mommy pack.  Weez so sowwy to keep postin’ ow twubbles.  Fur dat matter weez be tired of postin’ bad news and even tireder of livin’ it.  And weez know yous tired of readin’ it.   Weez workin’ on sumfin’ dat weez hope mommy can figger out, and weez hope yous gunna like it.  Open-mouthed smile  Weez suwe hope yous enjoy da fotos.  Sis Lexi slep fwu all da packin’.  Hers missed all da ‘citement, but she sez shes didn’t cawe. She’s been fwu enuff packin’ up a house wiff mommy and dat hers alweady knows what it’s like, and dat hers didn’t miss anyfin’.  MOL   Weez suwe hopin’ this be da last hiccup in this purrawcess.

OMC weez not hav much time this glowious and Blest Sunday cuz…..wait fur it…….da pawtments awe steppin’ up and duin’ what da purrfesional cawpet peeps told them had to be dun.  They is weplacin’ da cawpet!!!  Dat means mommy has to pack up all our knick knacks and bweakables.  They only move furniture and boxes.  They ain’t wesponsible fur all mommys purretties.  Weez also gotta move our lectwonics, cuz theys not wanna take wesponsibility fur them eevew.  This be da only time weez fankful dat ow t.v. be small.  MOL  Smile  Weez not know yet ifin they awe gunna weplace da tiles like da snoopervisor had sed, but weez suwe hope so.  Cuz then it wuld be dun and ovew wiff.  Udder wise weez gunna hav to keep aftew ‘em a bit longer.  And mommy sez quite fwankly hers just plain tired of fightin’.  Her’s weady fur a west and welax time. 

Now all this means anudder fing too.  Weez may not be wound and visitin’ or even postin’ fur a foo days cuz this is gunna take a lot outta mommy and her’s gunna need to wecoop a bit aftew it’s all ovew.  Just cuz da floors be dun dusn’t mean da work is ovew.  In fact just da opposite.  Mommys work will hav just begun.  Cuz hers will hav to put evewyfin’ back where it belongs.  And weez won’t even be able to sleep tumowwo night til mommy makes da bed, cuz they sed da bed linens hav to be wemoved??!!  Weez not know da weason fur dat.  And mommy has news fur them ifin they fink they’re gunna put ow foam mattwess on da dirty gwound.   

Oh meez furgot to tell yous sum mowe excitin’ news. Ovew at da Tabby Cat Club meez idea wuz chosen fur da header fur da munff of August.  And so meez got in da foto.  🙂  check it out.

So, now weez need yous all to purray dat da wedder be nice and not too hot and not rainy at all.  Cuz weez not want ow stuff to get any wetter than it alweady has been. Open-mouthed smile  At da moment there be a small chance of rain Munday, but weez believin’ that’s not gunna happen.  Well guess me better go and see ifin me can’t help mommy and play in pack up da boxes. Smile
