Yes dear of course I am, but why are you so happy about it?

 

Cuz mommy most of meez Cat Scouts activities happen on da weekend and this weekend be no ‘ception.

 

You’re right about that sweetheart. Y’all do stay busy don’t ya’?

 

And we have fun too mommy. So me was finkin’ since our weekends be so busy wiff fings like Cat Scouts dat maybe we shuld tell Service animal stories durin’ da week and take a bit of a bweak on da weekends. You know we still have a kupple more give aways this mumff too. And even tho a lot of our twainin’ stowries be a little on da amusin’ side, they can also be a little heavy in content. And of course we luv writin’ our Blest Sunday posty.

Well dear I think that sounds like a great plan. So you’ll tell another training story in the series on Monday?

 

Dat’s wight mommy. Me needs sum time to write ‘bout udder stuffs too. Cat Scouts wecently stawrted a badge wound “Flat Scouts”. It’s where us Scouts make a mini flat us and then go and visit udder scouts. Boff da twavelin’ scout and da host scout earn points fur their purrticipation. And those points go towards our purrmotions. And mommy, me put out a open invitation to all da scouts to come and stay wiff us. Me knew you and sissy wuldn’t mind. And, meez alweady had a few dat sed they wuld be contactin’ me soon to make awangements to come and visit. Me fawt we kuld hang on da Fandango Liberty Cat Twee, go fur a few stwolls and me kuld even give ‘em a lesson in wheelchair basics. What do yous fink mommy?

 

Well honey I think that sounds like a plan but some of your friends might be afraid of the wheelchair, so you need to check with them before assuming they would want to be anywhere near it.

 

Me will mommy. Don’t worry, it’s gunna be gweat fun.

Blood Bought Freedom

Meowllo everypawdy and happy Independence day. Let me just tell ya; dat weez didn’t get much visitin’ dun yesfurday cuz mommy never went to bed da night afur. And weez late today cuz she just nodded off last night writin’ meez posty and never woke up again till today. It was wiff good weason me must say. At 3a.m. Furiday meownin sis Lexi made a bloody depawsit in da pawdee box. And she weturned fur several more in no time at all. Based on mommy’s past speriences, she panicked cuz it means Lexi has a UTI. Well ifin yous member mommy has lost a kupple kitties to complications fwum UTI’s, so she be a mess. And in all meez time on this earff meez sissy hasn’t weally looked or acted sick till now. So me didn’t know what to do. Well when all else fails…do da zoomies. Me zoomed and mewed all over da house. wasn’t anypawdy getting’ any sleep dat;s fur sure. So yesfurday when mommy twied to do sum visitin’, hers just stawred at da scween. Well sort of. Actually she was kind of noddin’ off every few seconds and jerkin’ awake wiff all da funner boomers. Yep we was havin’ more rain. So very little puter time fur us. So weez gotta ask ya’ to purrlease purray fur sissy.

Now on to Independence day. All over America peeps awe celebwatin’ today wiff BBQ’s, fire boomers. booze and furiends. But weally it’s all ‘bout a little document called da Declaration of Independence. Da founding fathers of da U.S.A (then only 13 colonies) awthored and signed into law a document of listing certain inalienable wights and gawanteein’ fweedom fwum da tyranny of da Queen of England and all udder governments. They was establishin’ our government. Dat original document has been ammended a few times fwuout da years, but it still holds twu today. Peeps, wake up, don’t let this or any government take away da wights da founding fathers and God gave you and da blood of so many bought you. Happy Independence day to you all.

Da fire boomers stawrted last night and da neighborhood garwage band kept everypawdy up half da night. They fink they be weally good but da garwaage is da only place they can get a gig.

Me didn’t mommy, but me was so glad to find dat out cuz hydwation be weally purrtant fur us kitties. Weally it be purrtant fur all animals and hoomans too. Me be getting’ weally ‘cited bout our educational posties this mumff cuz sum of them come wiff pawsum give aways fur you all, our dear sweet furiends. Just you wait and see what’s comin’ up.

It’s finally summer and weez feelin’ da humid heat left behind fwum da mumff of rain we had. But we do have sunpuddles so dat’s nice. And of course we be sittin’ in da house unner centwal air conditionin’. Me wanted to go fur a stwoll yesfurday so mmommy got me all fixed up and in da stwoller. She kept sayin’ fings like, “honey, it’s too hot fur this”, and “Are you sure you want to go out in that heat?” But me just kept mewin’ yes, so out da door we went. OMC Me musta’ been cwazy, cuz we didn’t even get off da porch and me wanted to come back in. Mommy was wight…it was H O T hot. We hope you all be havin’ sum warm dwy wedder and sunpuddles to enjoy all yous own.

As most of ya’ know last mumff was adopt a shelter cat mumff, and lots of kitties found furever homes. Dat’s da good news. But just cuz June be over dusn’t mean dat there awen’t still kitties in need of homes and savin’, cuz there awe. Ms. Katie Kat has those cute little black kitties dat still need to find homes of their own and so many more. We fink everyday be a gweat day to adopt a kitty and save a life. After all when yous adopt yous savin’ 2 lives; da kitty yous bwing home and da one comin’ in and takin’ dat empty cage or open spot in a foster home. One of our pawsum furiends even sed yous savin’ 3 lives, and da 3rd be yous own. Cuz everypawdy knows us kitties have da ability to save you fwum depwession, lonliness, boredom and so many udder fings. And weez got gweat purrs. Purrlease share posties featurin’ adoptable pets. Yous just never know who might see dat posty and find their beloved anipal.

Meowllo everypawdy!!! It’s Blest Sunday, our favowit posty. And OMC awe we ever blest. We have a lot of good fings comin’ up fur da bloggy and fur all of you. We can’t tell ya’ yet, so be lookin’. We stawrted out yesfurday wiff da bootyful sunshine and a little wind. Typical wedder of this time of year. Afur da day was over, da skies turned black and opened up and we had funner and lightnin’ and rain. Yep, more rain, we had a lot of it. Da stowrm kept knockin’ us off da puter. But it did let up long enuff fur me to head over to Cat Scouts fur da purrmotion ceremonies. We had a lot of gweat kitties get purrmoted. Me was so purroud of all meez fellow scouts and furiends. And then meez name was called. Me was purrmoted to da rank of LION. Wow can you believe it? Little ole me is a Lion. WooHoo Course dat means a lot more wesponsibility on meez shoulders. Me has to be a good example to da kit scouts and all da udder scouts as well. But me finks meez up to da task.

See us scouts look out fur one anudder and help each udder when we can, in any way we can. Sumtimes all me can do to help is to cheer anudder scout on. But sumtimes dat’s all they need. Weez have a lot of activities at Cat Scouts to help us rise in rank. And we have sum activities dat allow us to help udders who be less furtunate than us. We have a service purroject where we send cawds to peeps dat be in nursin’ homes and da like. Meez only been able to do dat once so faw, but me hopes to do it more in da future. We also have a lot of fun. We celebwate Meowdays every mumff wiff a pawrty, we take twips to faw away places, and we have adventures galore. So what awe you waitin’ on, you know you wanna join. And we awe so blest to have bwought back all those wunnewful Weruva noms fwum BlogPaws. We haven’t opened a can or pouch yet dat sissy hasn’t luvved. And quite furankly mommy luvs ‘em too. They be good fur Lexi and just outwight good. Da food inside da cans and packets looks just like stuff she wuld put on hers plate. Weez hopin’ to work out a little sumpin’ sumpin’ wiff ‘em fur all of you too. Weez keepin’ our paws cwossed on dat one.
