Canadian Adventures
Here we awe wiff anudder epawsode of da adventures of Izzy and Tristy (aka: Flat Scout Dezi and Flat Scout Christy Paws). When last you caught up wiff our little flat lionesses Christy told da stowry of their twavels to Canada to visit Shoko and Kali where they had a blast. Click on da names in red above ifin yous missed those stories. Anyways, da girls had a gweat time and sed their goodbyes and headed off fur da states again to visit meez wunnewful, handsum mancat Andy in Ohio. Now me knows yous gunna wanna hear all ‘bout dat visit, so be here next Caturday. And weez even got a surpwise fur ya’ dat weez’ll tell ya’ ‘bout then. Be sure and mawk yous calendars. So today meez gunna tell ya’ all ‘bout da adventurwous journey Izzy and Tristy had getting’ to Andy’s house.

We sed our goodbyes to Shoko and Kali and all da udder flats dat was visitin’. Shoko’s mommy had been so pawsum and fixed us up sum lunches and snacks fur our twip. We had taken da twain and da bus on our way, but we had weally wanted to see sum of Canada so we ‘cided take our time and camp out a few nights. Me used to go horseback ridin’ wiff mommy and Christy has a horse so we rented a couple horses and a pack mule and headed off to see a little of Canada on our way back to da States. We left wound noon on Caturday afur last and rode till it stawrted getting’ dawrk. We found a nice quiet awea by a stweam to make camp fur da night. We watered da horses and mule and unpacked da tent we had rented as well. We was very furtunate to find a rancher willin’ to come to da border and pick up hims horses afur we cwossed over. Tristy pitched da tent as me gathered wood and made da fire.
Finally our tent pitched, our horses and mule hitched Tristy and me settled in to check out da pawsum meal awnty Jean had sent wiff us and talk ‘bout all we had seen dat day. We had a meal fit fur queens, rather lionesses; and regaled da booty of Canada. There was so many twees and gweenery. And we had seen lots of birds and wabbits along da way. Da peeps we encountered when we went fwu towns was so nice. We took a bweak in a little town earlier to water da horses and met up wiff sum weally furiendly kitties.
Tristy: They were real nice Izzy. You know lots of Canadian cats spend time outside as well as in. We saw that while staying with Shoko too. I don’t know that I would want mom to shut me outside. I like to be the house with all my toys and trees and family too much.
Izzy: Yeah Tristy they was weally cool and all but it’s just too dangerwous fur us to be outside like dat. They seemed to enjoy eatin’ stwange noms at differwent houses, but me likes to know where mommy is when me eats. And you know wiff all meez fur it gets kinda hot outside. Me wuld miss da a/c too much. It sure was nice of awnty Jean to send us wiff these pawsum noms fur tonight. What do you fink we oughtta hunt fur tomowwos meal?
Tristy: It was Izzy. I was kind of thinking we might have to have a couple of Canadian rabbits before we leave. What do you think?
Izzy: Me finks dat’s a gweat idea Tristy. There sure seems to be purrlenty wound here. Guess we oughtta turn in fur da night so we can get an early stawrt tomowwo.
We boff sed goodnight and crawled in da tent and fell fast asleep. Me dweamed of ketchin’ wabbits and of seein’ meez handsum Andy. Da next meownin’ we boff rose early and bein’ da good scouts we awe, we put out our fire and cleaned up da campsite so yous kuldn’t even tell we had been there. ‘Cept fur dat one spot. We kuldn’t wesist and had cawrved our names into one of da twees. Me sure hopes Den Master dusn’t give us a demotion fur dat, we just kuldn’t help ourselves. We pasked up and headed off. This wuld be our last day and night in da wilds of Canada.
We twaveled most of da day enjoyin’ our time in Canada. But as night approached we stawrted lookin’ fur a place to camp and keepin’ our eyes out fur those wascally wabbits. We finally came upon a small clearin’ wiff a nice little waterin’ hole and ‘cided to make camp there fur da night. We got set up and then went on da prowl fur dinner. We cwouched low to da gwound and caught wind of a wabbit by da waterin’ hole. We worked togevver like a kupple of weal lionesses wuld. We inched closer and closer and then spwang and took down a kupple wabbits in one pounce. We carried them back to our camp and cleaned ‘em up and hung ‘em on da spit. We put da hide and fur in our saddle bags fur a later purroject. As we ate da fwuits (wabbits) of our furst hunt togevver we chatted ‘bout da fun we had and how we kuldn’t wait to get acwoss da border and on to Andy’s house da next day. This wuld be one of their longest twips since most of da scouts live in da states.
Da next meownin’ da two little lionesses awoke early and cleaned up their campsite and headed off to meet wiff da nice rancher who wuld be takin’ da horses and mule back. Fwum there they caught a ride wiff a nice twucker and hims doggy on into Ohio. Da twucker was so nice he even dwove them wight up to Andy’s house. As Izzy and Tristy waved goodbye da ‘citement began to overtake Izzy. In a few short minutes she was gunna be starin’ at sweet Andy in da fur. Da girls stood at da door and looked at each udder afur knockin’. They wunnerwed just what adventures awaited them beyond da door. Finally Izzy reached her paw up and knocked, and…………………………..Join us every week fur da continuin’ saga of our little flat Lionesses on da Prowl.
