Dezi, Mommy, the Wheelchair and the Wall, O My

Well meez stawted tellin’ yous yesfuwday ’bout meez leawnin’ tu dwive da wheelchaiw.  Okay meez wus just gettin’ comfy wiff it, but yous gotta admit dat a long tailed long haired cat and a movin’ chaiw kuld make fuw a scawy occuwance.  But meez twusts meez mommy and knows dat shes wuldn’t let anyfin’  huwt me so it wus time tu weally leawn tu dwive.  So one day aftew mommy and meez had been pwacticin’ where meez shuld sit and how tu push da joystick tu make da chaiw go and how tu push da button tu tuwn on da chaiw, it wus time fuw a dwivin’ lesson.  Fiwst tho’ let meez tell you a little ’bout Ragdolls. We’s vewy smawt but we’s kittys fuw quite a while.  Meanin’ wees matuwe slowew den uddew kittys.  So just cuz we’s all grown up in body dusn’t mean a fing. MOL  We’s still gunna act like a kitten sumtimes, you know showt ‘tention span and a bit playful.  So meez and mommy wus in da chaiw at da edge of da dinin’ woom and weady tu go.  Sis Lexi wus lookin’ on fwum da livin’ woom.  Meez pawed da on button and heawd it beep and den meez put me mouf on da joystick.   Da last place mommy had used da chaiw wus when hers took da twash out, so hers had turned da speed all da way up.  Anyways meez pushed da joystick fowawd and….Zooooooom Away wees went.  BOOM!!  And wight intu da hall wall.  We came tu a complete and abwupt stop. Mommy had fuwgot tu tuwn da speed down when hers came back in da house.  And ifin mommy hadn’t been holdin’ onto me, den meez kulda wulda hit da wall meezself. MOL    Meez eyes got big as saucews and sis Lexi sat stwaight up and dwopped hers mouf all da way tu da floow.  MOL  Okay, so maybe hers mouf wusn’t all da way tu da floow, but da look on hers face sed it all.  Meez had made a boo boo.

 

Meez stawted squiwmin’ and twyin’ tu get down but mommy wusn’t lettin’ meez go.  ‘Stead she stawted luvvin’ on me and tellin’ meez it wus guunna be okay.  All meez kuld fink is ‘whewe wus she??  Can’t she see da wall in fwunt of us??’  Mommy backed us up and calmed meez down and tuwned da speed down tu weally slow.  So meez put me mouf on da joystick again and pushed it fowawd vewy cawefully. Wees stawted wollin’ down da hall and…..da fone wang.  Meez jewked meez head wound towawds da livin’ woom and da fone, and when meez did, da chaiw tuwned wiff meez. MOL  BOOM!!  Intu da wall weez went again.  Dis time meez jumped outta da chaiw afuw mommy kuld gwip meez weally tight.  And off tu get da fone meez went.  Lesson ovew. MOL   Dis lesson wus ovew, but mommy wusn’t finished wiff meez yet.  Mommy and meez and da chaiw had hit da wall twice, but mommy wusn’t ’bout tu give up on meez.                                              Til da nex time, Hav a Pawsum Catuwday!!!

Dezi Has a Special Bond

Well is finally time fur meez tu stawt tellin’ you all ’bout meez!!!  Dis is me favowit topic. MOL  Ifin yous wead meez blog fwum da beginnin’ den yous’ know dat mommy wescued meez fwum a vewy bad bweedew and meez wus da wunt of da littew.  Meez  wus vewy sickly when me came tu liv hewe at almost 4 weeks old. Meez didn’t eat weal food yet and meez wus all wowmy.  Da bweedew had just ’bout killed me and meez littew mates wif OTC wowmews; and da wong ones at dat.  But me didn’t know how good meez wus gunna hav it.   Mommy took me home wiff hers and cleaned meez all up and gav meez a bottle and tawt meez how tu eat and use da pawdee box, and meez luved hers vewy much.  Aftew all meez chose her not da uddew way wownd.  Yous’ can wead a showt bio ’bout meez here. Lexi will tell hers fwum her point of view just like shes’ did on facebook.  It’s just takin’ us a little bit tu leawn how evewfin’ works here. Der’s lots of fings we’s wanna du, just gotta figgew it all out. MOL

 

So one day mommy wus in da kitchen makin’ hers a dwink (just a coke. mol) and meez wus layin’ in da floow waitin’ on hers. Meez nevew wants tu be faw fwum mommy. 🙂  Anyway, meez felt dat sumfin wus wong.  So meez got up and went ovew tu mommy and stawted pawin’ at hers ankle (dat’s all me kuld weach) and skweekin’ and tuwnin’ wownd and wownd.  Well mommy fawt meez wus so cute and hers luved meez so much dat hers weached down and picked meez up and stawted kissin’ me.  Me gotta tell ya’ dat meez luvs sum kisses, but sumfin bad wus gunna hapun.  And even tho’ meez didn’t know what,  meez had tu wawn mommy.  So meez stawted pushin’ mommy away and pattin’ hers face and skweekin’ still.  Mommy put meez back down and….now what, hers twied tu giv meez tweats.  Meez just kep pawin’ at hers and dancin’ wownd, and den it hapund.  Mommy lost all da colow in hers face and hers started wockin’ and den hers looked down at me and smiled and den, BOOM!! Wight on da floow she’s went.  Meez wus vewy scawed but meez didn’t wanna leav mommy eevew, so meez stayed and laid down aside hers and stawted purrin’.  It seemed like mommy wus der fuwevew so meez muved tu hers chest and stawted pattin and lickin’ hers face.  Dat’s da site mommy saw when hers came tu. MOL  Mommy still didn’t know what wus goin’ on wiff meez but hers gave me lots of luvin’ and dat wus okay tu. 🙂

 

A foo days latew, meez felt dat feelin’ agin and new sumfin bad wus gunna hapun. Dis time meez new what dat wus, but meez didn’t know what it wus called. Meez agin stawted pawin’ at mommy and skweekin’ and dancin’ wownd agin.  Mommy still didn’t listen tu meez, and down hers went agin. MOL  A foo more times, and mommy finally got da message me wus sendin’ hers. Meez knew dat hers wus gunna pass out afur hers did it.  Almost 30 minutes afur.  And once hers stawted payin’ tention tu meez den hers saved herself a many a bwuise and a dates wiff da floow. MOL  Mommy did sum weseawch and leawned dat animals can smell changes in body chemistwy. In uddew wowds wes’ know when yous’ sick. It’s da same way wes’ know is gunna wain or da winds gunna blow and da like.  Der are odow and tepewatuwe changes in da body dat wes’ smell and sense. Dat’s made meez able tu know when mommy’s gunna pass out, and meez luvs hers so much meez wants tu tell hers dat it’s gunna hapun.  Mommy has named what meez du tu tell her, ‘da dance’.     Dat’s just pawt of meez special bond wif mommy.      Meez got lots more tu tell, but til da nex time; Hav a Pawsum Day!!!

Winter’s Overstayed Her Welkum

Well furiends tumorrow is St. Patrick’s Day. Like we kitty’s really care, but it duz giv our humans a good excuse tu dress up our pictures. MOL So get ready fur picture overload tumorrow. 😀

Tuday stardid out like most other days except, it had turned really cold over nite and mommy had turned off all the heatin’ devices in da house and left the fan runnin’. So when she woke dis meownin’ she wuz freezin’. So Lexi and meez bof crawled up nex tu mommy and, ‘snuggle time’. So we laid der a while longer afur gettin’ up and startin’ our day. But as wif all fings, it had tu kum tu an end so we kuld get up and eat brekky. Well da winter seems purrticularly long dis year and we’s all gettin’ cabin fever. Meez also not known fur eatin meez brekky all at da first sittin’. Meez has tu eat a bit and get sum luvin’ frum mommy and eat a bit and play a bit and eat a bit and go tu da pawdee box and eat a bit, well you get da idea. So meez eatin’ a bit of me brekky and mommy’s tryin’ tu hav sum coffee but me also wants tu get luved on and play a bit. Mommy givs me sum luvin’ and den me off and runnin’. 

Now is sis Lexi’s turn tu get luvin’ frum mommy. And no, mommy hasn’t had her first cup of coffee yet. MOL Den me kum runnin fru da house and right intu sis Lexi. WooHoo play time. Now we’s playin’ chase fru da house. And meowin and meowin at mommy tu kum play wif us. And tu clean da litter box and tu giv us treats and….. We are feelin’ all cooped up and and we all goin’ a bit stir crazy here. So til da nex time

Getting Started

OMC Blog shmlog. MOL Well we hav told you how Lexi and meez got our start in life and kame tu liv wif mommy. Hoo by da way, we luv very much!!!  But sumtimes she can be a bit…well anyway we stardid dis blog fur meez and den mommy sez, “Well hunny I don’t know what tu tell here.” So we right nuffin. Now me sez dat’s just not fair. See, sis Lexi has a facebook page where she tells a bit of our story every night, so what about meez??? Ifin me only had thumms meez kuld write fur meself. After all meez drives da wheelchair fur mommy, dials da fone, me givs great massages and all sorts of fings. But alas me stuck waitin’ on mommy. 

Purrlease stay wif meez as we will be tryin’ a few different fings out here. Let me know how you like them and we will find a direction fur meez blog tugedder.

So we had a really bad wind storm last nite and me didn’t like it at all. When it wuz time fur bed mommy wuz lookin’ all over fur me, cuz usually meez is in hers lap all evenin’ but not last nite. Mommy had da flashlite out and all. She looked under da bed and in da shower and under da bed steps. Under da table and ever where, but no Dezi. MOL Finally she looked under da chest where meez hide when da lawn krew is here. And yes, there me wuz. 😀 Moi kame out and looked at mommy like, ‘what? meez didn’t hear you callin’.’ Think she bought it cuz she luved on me and tu bed we went. Til da nex time.
