That’s Not Snow?

Meowllo evewypawdy weez almost fwu anudder week. We weally can’t believ how fast this year be goin’. Well ow snow melted and oh we wuz so happy. Da sun even came out fur ‘bout 15 minutes on Tuesday. And then…da heavens opened and out of them came ICE. Yep dat’s wight, ice. Not snow or water, but sleet. And it didn’t just fall, it stuck. We nevew got abuv fureezin’ temps on Wednesday. Da wind howled like a wolf all day and night. And now it’s all white outside again. These fotos wuz taken ’bout 2 in da aftewnoon. Lookit how dawk it is out there. Mommy sez she sure hopes this stuff melts today cuz we hav herz wegular doctows pointment on Furiday. Kuld get innewestin’ dat’s fur sure.

So it’s almost time fur sis Lexi’s wecheck too. Mommy’s a little nervous, and so is sissy ifin twuff be told. Hers not gained any weight, but fur da most pawt she be eatin’ purretty good. She luvs hers butter spoon (medicine) and me even gets a little lick after she finishes. Dat butter be good stuff. You know sis Lexi eats on da table and mommy has a make shift step fur her outta one of da dinin’ woom chairs. And a while back she fell while twyin’ to jump up in da chair. Well you wulda fawt she had been hit by a mack twuck da way mommy made over her and cwied. And since then sh’e mostlly dun okay. She’s kinda slipped a foo times, but no more flat out falls till Tuesday. And she fell again while twyin’ to get in da chair to get to da table. And it wusn’t a purretty, gwaceful fall eevew. She turned and fell wight on hers bumpkus. Mommy wuz of course not faw away at da counter makin’ ow dinner. And when she saw sissy fall she panicked and wan over to see ‘bout her. Mommy wuz bawlin’ and sissy wuz meowin’. She’s not hurt just lappin’ up da extwa luvvin’.

Mommy sez on top of evewyfin’ this cold, nasty wedder be wreakin’ havoc wiff their awfuritis. But of course we do purreciate yous continued purrayers. Meez gunna cut it short today cuz bein’ out fwum unnew da blanky be cold. (shivers) Weez got sum pawsum fings comin’ up this mumff as well as ow nowmal day in da life and update posties. This is a gweat year so faw and it’s only gunna get better. Y’all stay warm and cozy and safe.

Meowllo evewypawdy hope yous all had a good time yesfurday wiff all da Dr. Seuss posties. There wuz sum weally gweat ones out there. We weally do fink dat litewacy shuld be purrmoted more. Me knows there’s a foo of ya’ out there dat be laffin’ cuz yous fink it be widiculous dat me wuld talk ‘bout litewacy while speakin’ cat. And you know what…dat’s okay. Hopefully genewations to come will be able to wead and write and enjoy da same fweedoms we hav today to choose whether we write in hooman or cat. Anyways on wiff todays post.

1. We alweady liv where we wanna, cuz we only wanna liv wiff mommy. And mommy sez hers has lived all ovew da U.S. and luvved evewyplace her lived. And dat anywhere is home so long as we be there wiff her. But Sammy, ifin yous got a guest house fur us to liv in, weez all on ow way.  

2. Ow favowit gift is……….evewypawdy hoo evew gave us sumfin’ is sittin’ on da edge of their seats wight now. MOL And we weally luv evewy gift weez evew been givin’. So weez eevew gunna make sum of ya’ mad or make yous all say “aaaaaah”, cuz ow favowitest gift evew is mommy and mommy sez hers is us. See weez all be miwacles. Yous wead ow stowries and know dat neevew Lexi or me wuz spected to liv, what you don’t know is dat mommy wuz nevew posed to be born. So on top of life, we got blest wiff each udder and all of you. 

3. Me finks da lawn cwu and funderstowms awe tied wiff what scares me mostest. Sis Lexi sez hers not fwaid of anyfin’. Altho’ me hears she be fwaid of mice. You know da weal ones dat squeak and wun and eat cheese and peanut butter. And mommy sez hers gweatest fear is losin’ us. (‘oh mommy don’t worry weez not goin’ anywhere.’) 

4. This is purrawlly ow showtest answer. No, weez not believ in weincawnation.  

5. Weez not believ dat there be life on udder planets. We believ in heaven and hell and God and da devil.

6. Mommy wuld purrfur ow answer be sum pawsum good fur us noms, but as yous all seen, ow favowitest food is PIZZA. Yeah hey mommy can we hav pizza tonight? Travis sed they hav it evewy week.

Just fur da day

Meowllo evewypawdy, hope yous havin’ a gweat stawt to da week. As we unnewstand it, today we be celebwatin’ Dr. Seuss day all acwoss da blogosphere. Weez also celebwatin’ at da Tabby Cat Club and Cat Scouts. Now when we got da furst email fwum Miss Ann, we wuz a little emabawwased cuz we had to write her back and ask just who wuz this Dr. Seuss and what wuz this ‘bout. Mommy sed she vaguely membered sumfin’ ‘bout a gwinch and Christmas. But hers favowit Christmas show is/wuz da Little Dwummer Boy. She didn’t know this Dr. Seuss wuz a weal purrsun and dat hims wuz a writer. Mommy didn’t hav da same kinda childhood as a lot of ya’. Her wusn’t beat on or nuffin’ but fings wusn’t always as they seemed. So anyways, Miss Ann gave us a link to hers bloggy where she had helped lots of kitties in da past wiff their posties. We gotta tell ya’ they wuz pawsum. Dat Miss Ann is one talented lady.

And then we did a little wesearch and discovewed dat Dr. Seuss wrote lots of childwens books. And they had a lesson of sum kind to teach. Well beins this is a kitty blog mommy fawt ‘bout not purrticipatin’ today, after all, we kitties don’t wead and mommy hadn’t wead anyfin’ hims wrote. But da more she fawt ‘bout it and and da more sis Lexi and me meowed at her she ‘cided this wuz a good fing. She duz wead to us, even ifin it not be Dr. Seuss. But it’s ow belief dat kids today awe bein’ wobbed. They be gwaduatin’ high school and can’t wead or write. As a whole ow society has a hawd time communicatin face to face these days. Evewypawdy walks wound wiff a cell fone attached to their purrsun and textin’ constantly. As fur spellin’, they don’t even know when spell check has cowwected sumfin’ it shuldn’t hav. And peeps be ruder than evew afur.

Computers awe a good fing and they awe necessawwy, but as wiff anyfin’, too much of a good fing is _________. You know what we mean? At least a lot of ya’ do. So we hope dat on this day, Read Across America day or Dr. Seuss’ Meowday, and evewyday fur dat matter, dat where evew you awe and hoo evew you awe dat you wuld encourage yung minds to wead more. To expand their universe beyond text messages and foto messages. Boff of which we know nuffin’ ‘bout. MOL Hope you enjoyed seein’ sissy and me in ow big red and white Seuss hat.

Meowllo evewypawdy and a blest Sunday to ya’. Mommy, Lexi and me got an invitation of sorts in da email da udder day, but well as wiff most stuff tech, mommy didn’t quite unnewstand it and then we furgot and missed it. What wuz it you ask? Well  it wuz a discussion/lesson by a panel of pawsum Cat writers/bloggers. At least nex time weez’ll unnewstand da invite and be able to set a’minder fur it. Cuz we watched it after da fact, and it wuz pawsum!!! Altho’ me knows da panel of ladies rarely weads meez bloggy, me wuld like to fank them fur their time and infurmation. Ifin yous a blogger of any kind yous oughtta check it out here. Altho’ da panel wuz made up of Cat Bloggers, da infurmation given wuz good fur all bloggers.

They talked ‘bout bwandin’ and integwity. You know weez been vewy blest. When we stawted in social media we made it clear dat we wuld always tell da twuff no matter what. Dat meant even when it didn’t put a good light on us or even ifin it hurt us, we wuz gunna tell it like it is. And most of ow furiends/followers tell us dat they like and wespect dat ‘bout us, and they believ us when we say sumfin’. Dat makes us very purroud and honored, but it also means we be held to a higher standawd. We hav to work hawder ifin weez postin’ sumfin’ educational specially, cuz you ow furiends awe welyin’ on us to giv you da facts, not just ow opinion. You awe twustin’ us to not mislead you or giv you bad infurmation. Dat be da integwity pawt.

Course integwity also means stayin’ twu to hoo we awe. Dat be purretty easy fur us cuz mommy hates lyin’ and fakeness. We hope to continue to be kitties you can twust and weez plan on workin’ hawd to purrove yous twust is not misgivin’. Of course we will continue hav fun and make those kinds of posties. But we also hope to bwing you more educational/infurmative posties as well. Me guesses ifin we wuz da kind dat made New Years wesolutions this wulda been ows. We don’t make wesolutions cuz more offen than not they get bwoken wiffin da furst kupple weeks, but we fink we can all stwive to be better. As long as you member to be twuff-ful in all you do and say and never furget dat weez all capable of learnin’ sumfin new (cuz nopawdy knows it all) then you be well on yous way to bein’ better.

 

They also talked ‘bout bwandin’. And how ow blog wuz ow bwand, and it’s what defines us. Da fings we post shuld match up wiff hoo we awe and what ow goals awe fur ow bloggy. One of da fings we be known fur is ow Blest Sunday posties and findin’ da good in fings and bein’ a pawsitiv furce. We weally like bein’ known fur dat, cuz there’s enuff bad and negativ fings in da world wiffout addin’ to it. We hope you continue to bear wiff us as we work towards makin’ ow blog one dat be innewestin’, worff da visit and full of integwity and most purrtant luv.

Wiffout you all visitin’ weadin’ and commentin’ this wuld just be a diawy. So we hope hope dat you will always be honest wiff us. And ifin you ever hav questions ‘bout us or sumfin’ weez written purrlease feel furee to ask. When we do ow educational posties we do a lot of wesearch afur sayin’ sumfin’ definitive, and we twy to always giv you a link to ow wesources, but we did learn dat purrhaps we shuld be notin’ those wesources at da end of ow posties also. So we awe gunna be better ‘bout dat in da future. Mommy sez dat we be a blest genewation cuz there’s so much infurmation available these days and it’s much easier to access it. We also learned we weally need a mentor. Hopefully weez’ll be goin’ to BlogPaws and we can find one there. Course mommy sez we can find one anywhere, and there be lots of peeps we weally admire and fink wuld be gweat mentors. But we also know it takes a lot of time and we don’t wanna impose on anyone. We know most of ya’ lead very busy lives, so ifin we evew get da courage to ask ya’ purrlease feel furee to say No. We won’t be offended or get ow feelins hurt.
