Hey y’all it’z Lexi. Yep I’z got a review fur ya’ today. Dat’z rite sis Dezi and me both are Chewy bloggerz and today I’z gunna tell ya’ ‘bout da Blue Wilderness Tasty Toppers. Chewy sent us a whole case of these little yums to try out. Mommy chose da tasty duck morsels in a savory gravy fur me to try.

Da Tasty Morsels come in 4 flavors and are available fur dogs too. They come in 3 ounce packets and have minimal ingredientz. They’re all grain free. Now you might be sayin’ to yourself, 3 ounces, Y dat’z a whole meal fur minez kitty. And you wuld be rite, but these topperz are not complete and balanced so they can be fed as topperz on your regular food, as a treat, or an occasional substitute. But your kitty or doggy needz all da extra vitaminz and minerals and oils in balanced mealz. So these toppperz don’t replace kittiez food, but merely enhancez it.

You wanna know what I think ‘bout it don’t ya’? It’z a little rich, but mozt duck iz. And I lubz me sum duck. So yep you guessed it, I give it 4 pawz up. Mommy can top my mealz with these any time. I know, I know, you wanna know what mommy thinkz. So I’z gunna let her tell ya’.

Yes it’s Blue and given Dezi’s recent issues I wouldn’t let her have it. But Lexi has always eaten a variety of food with no problems. Although since being diagnosed with kidney disease she tires of foods quickly so I’m always on the look out for something to entice her to eat. Lexi has always liked bites in gravy so these Tasty Toppers are perfect for her. The slices are just about the right size and the gravy is a thin au jus. They are made here in the U.S. and that’s always a plus. Meat being the first ingredient is a must in our house so I give these Tasty Toppers 2 thumbs up as a supplement for Lexi.

Mommy Got A Box

You’re here. As purromissed me is turnin’ da blog over to mommy today cuz she has a really special box to tell you ‘bout. So without further adieu heeeeeeeeeeere’s mommy.

 

Thank you Dezi. I do have a great box to tell everyone about today. I know some of you may have already seen one or more of these boxes around the blogosphere, but I was thrilled to be chosen to receive for a review the November Cat Lady Box. And when my box arrived even the girls got a surprise. We had received the Crazy Cat Lady box. Let me tell ya’ a little about the company before we get to the really good part. Dorian Wagner, the founder, decided it was time to debunk the old cat lady stereotype. That doesn’t mean that she or others, including me aren’t still crazy about cats; we are. The point is that we’re not the one people see in media every now and again with a hundred unkempt cats. Cat ladies come from all walks of life and financial standing. We all have one thing in common, our love of everything cat. So with that in mind Dorian began a company with a mission. To provide cat ladies with their own subscription box each month filled with little tasteful cat themed treasures for us to show off our love of cats. And even better still, 5% of the monthly profits are donated to shelters and rescues. You can also shop for single items from past boxes on the Cat Lady Box website.

Now let’s get to the box itself. There are 2 different boxes to choose from, the Cat Lady Box or the Crazy Cat Lady Box. The only difference is what’s inside the box. The Crazy Cat Lady box contains items for the cat lover and a couple of goodies for the cats as well. The Cat Lady box  containing 2-3 items for the cat lady herself is only $34.99 a month and the Crazy Cat Lady box that includes a couple of things for your furry purrer is $39.99 a month. Shipping is free to the U.S., $6.95 for Canada and $12.95 to the UK.

Now let’s get to the box I received. When it arrived I couldn’t wait to open it. I had seen others review past boxes and knew I was going to love whatever was inside. And there is certainly no disappointment there. When I first opened the box I saw a small box that  typically contains jewelry. We women can spot a jewelry box at any distance. lol  I love jewelry so I had to check that out first. And OMC I saw the cutest Cat Face Watch ever from the Tiniest Tiger Studios. The band is tastefully done in animal print. Combined it makes a fun and sophisticated way to show off your love of cats. It’s water-resistant with a stainless steel case and gold toned hardware with a quartz movement.

Next was the Cat Outline Keychain by Empurrium. It’s a made with love (handmade) high quality wipe clean vinyl piece. It comes complete with a split ring so it easily attaches to any accessory you’d like including your keys. Laid across the bottom of the box is an adorable “Cats Are My Bag” black tote by Xenotees. A great little shopping tote to show of your love of cats. And an adorable art card featuring an abstract cat by Francesca Rizzato. She gets inspiration from her three cats, and you can see more of her artwork in her Etsy store, MiaoMiao Design. Also included was a note from Dorian and a 10% off coupon for gift subscriptions. And yes, this would make an excellent gift for the cat lover in your life.

Last but not least are the items for the girls. Both were a big hit. First up, the Cloud 9 cat treats. We got a sample of these treats a couple of years ago and the girls loved them so we are thrilled to have received a full size in the cute little cat head container. They are high in protein, low in calories, grain free and minus fillers, by-products and preservatives. Also included is the Catnip Drumstick by Housecat Club on Etsy. It’s a big hit as well and sooooo cute. I would personally like to thank Dorian for creating such an amazing deal and for allowing me to review the November Crazy Cat Lady box. If you can’t tell, I give the box, the company, all the companies involved and Dorian 2 big thumbs up. Of course no money exchanged hands here, but the box I received free is amazing.

Is That Tent For Us

Well it’s time to tell ya’ ‘bout a pawsum playmat you can pick up at Chewy fur Christmas. This month we were one of da lucky ones dat received da Kong active playmat tent. It’s made by Kong, so you know da quality is good and you can get it at Chewy so you know da purrice is good.

Now da KongTriangle Playmat fur Cats is smaller than we ‘spected, but it’s still a lot of fun. And it’s purrple animal purrint. Dusn’t get much better than dat right? There’s a cute little mousey dat be attached and dangles when da mat is in da tent pawsition. And let me tell ya’ a little sumfin’ ‘bout da attachments on toys. They’re not all da same quality. But this little mousey is really a stand on it’s own toy. It’s a nice big nip filled soft mouse. Da mat/tent itself is very sturdy. It has 3 panels what fold to make da tent. There awe 2 velcro closures dat make it hold da tent shape. Da velcro holds very nicely. Now cuz we be a little on da larger side, we like it laid out flat too. Da inside is soft and plush and makes fur a gweat nappin’ spot. And hey, there’s dat little mousey in case you wanna whacky paw in your sleep. MOL  Sis Lexi and me give it a 4 paws up each. But what ‘bout mommy you ask?

Well mommy sez it’s smaller size wuld lend itself to bein’ a gweat furst mat fur da new kitten, but it’s still gweat fun fur da bigger cats. And because of it’s size, it dusn’t take up a ton of room on da floor. As you know all kitties regardless of age and size can manage to fit themselves into da smallest of places. We’re a house full of purrple and animal purrint luvvers here, so we luv it’s look. And it’s made by Kong, so mommy knows it’s good quality. So mommy gives it 2 fumms up too.

Wanna Play Mr. Hedgehog?

Oh sure girls, I’m up for some play. Why don’t you have your mom put some of that cat nip you like so much inside my refillable body.

Dat’s right a completely refillable with furesh cat nip fuzzy toy fur us kitties to play with. We have lots of toys from Imperial Cat so when they asked ifin we wuld like to bring you all one of their newest in the Cat’n Around™ line we just had to say, “count us in”. How many pawsum toys have your cats quit playin’ with after the nip has gotten old or been soaked with slobber so many times it’s just not furesh anymore. Trust me, we know all ‘bout dat slobberin’ since sis Lexi dusn’t have hardly any teeth. Anyways, unlike mats, nip filled toys can’t really be cleaned. So what do you do with ‘em when they’re no longer any fun? They either go into da bottom of da toy box or in da trash right? Or what ifin your kitty purrfurs silvervine stead of nip? Toys filled with da vine are really hard to find. Well what wuld you say ifin you kuld empty out da old stale nip and add furesh or whatever you wanted inside; essentially makin’ da toy new again? You’d say count you in too, huh?.

Well dat’s zactly what Imperial Cat did. They created a line of refillable catnip toys. There’s a Fuzzy Heart Duo, a completely stuffin’ furee toy dat comes with 2 fuzzy heart pillows, the Snake duo which comes in assorted colors and our furiend da Feather Hedgehog duo. Each of these toys comes with an ample bag of certified organic USA grown catnip. Da only stuffin’ on these toys is in their heads. Each toy has a velcro closure in da tummy area where you can add as much or as little nip or whatever your cat purrfurs. Stuff them full or just enuff fur a whiff. Da suggested retail of these pawsum little duos is $5.96.

So, what do we think of Mr. Hedgehog? As you know we always tell it like it is. Me seemed very innerested when mommy was strugglin’ with da little velcro openin’ to fill him up, but he turned out not be as much fun as da escaping nip cuz da velcro dusn’t hold well. Sis Lexi however thought he was great fun. She batted him around fur a good little while. And has returned numerous times fur a bit more battin’. MOL  Mr. Hedgehog is quite cute and his spikes seem to be made of microfiber so he is nice and soft. He has a tiny little pink ball glued on fur a nose, so fur any kitties dat like to chew on and/or eat their toys, we recommend removin’ da nose afur givin’ him to kitty to avoid pawssible chokin’ hazards, etc. We’re not those kitties, so our Mr. Hedgehogs’ nose is still in tact. All in all sissy gives him 4 paws up. And fur all da pawsum nip on da floor me rolled in, me gives him 2 paws up.

As usual we’ll let mommy weigh in on this too. We know you’re all innerested in knowin’ what her thoughts were. She wishes da velcro closure worked a bit better and wasn’t quite as stiff cuz she hadn’t planned on bringin’ out da carpet monster da day she gave us Mr. hedgehog. But with all dat nip all over da floor, it was sumfin’ dat had to be done. But mommy recognizes a gweat idea and so fur dat she gives it a thumb up too. And it’s highly pawssible dat da enclosure works better on da snake and hearts. We didn’t try those so we can’t say. What we can say is dat these wuld make a gweat Christmas purresent, stockin’ stuffer, or just cuz I luv ya’ gift. Mr. Hedgehog is a great toy with or without da nip. And at a purrice unner $6.00 fur 2 toys, you just have to get yours.
