Meowllo everypawdy!!! It’s Blest Sunday, our favowit posty. And OMC awe we ever blest. We have a lot of good fings comin’ up fur da bloggy and fur all of you. We can’t tell ya’ yet, so be lookin’. We stawrted out yesfurday wiff da bootyful sunshine and a little wind. Typical wedder of this time of year. Afur da day was over, da skies turned black and opened up and we had funner and lightnin’ and rain. Yep, more rain, we had a lot of it. Da stowrm kept knockin’ us off da puter. But it did let up long enuff fur me to head over to Cat Scouts fur da purrmotion ceremonies. We had a lot of gweat kitties get purrmoted. Me was so purroud of all meez fellow scouts and furiends. And then meez name was called. Me was purrmoted to da rank of LION. Wow can you believe it? Little ole me is a Lion. WooHoo Course dat means a lot more wesponsibility on meez shoulders. Me has to be a good example to da kit scouts and all da udder scouts as well. But me finks meez up to da task.

See us scouts look out fur one anudder and help each udder when we can, in any way we can. Sumtimes all me can do to help is to cheer anudder scout on. But sumtimes dat’s all they need. Weez have a lot of activities at Cat Scouts to help us rise in rank. And we have sum activities dat allow us to help udders who be less furtunate than us. We have a service purroject where we send cawds to peeps dat be in nursin’ homes and da like. Meez only been able to do dat once so faw, but me hopes to do it more in da future. We also have a lot of fun. We celebwate Meowdays every mumff wiff a pawrty, we take twips to faw away places, and we have adventures galore. So what awe you waitin’ on, you know you wanna join. Paw wight here to be twansported to da Cat Scouts site and get yous selff signed up. Today be flag day, so weez all celebwatin’ wiff pawsum fotos. And me bets there’ll be sum gweat noms wound da campfire. Me hasn’t had a chance to get meez new badge put on meez unifurm yet, but me can’t wait.

And we awe so blest to have bwought back all those wunnewful Weruva noms fwum BlogPaws. We haven’t opened a can or pouch yet dat sissy hasn’t luvved. And quite furankly mommy luvs ‘em too. They be good fur Lexi and just outwight good. Da food inside da cans and packets looks just like stuff she wuld put on hers plate. Weez hopin’ to work out a little sumpin’ sumpin’ wiff ‘em fur all of you too. Weez keepin’ our paws cwossed on dat one.

Perfect Portions

Happy Caturday to you all. Weez got sunshine and wind, and…a FLASH FLOOD Warnin’. OMC Can yous believe it? And here we fawt da rain was gone fur da summer. MOL Summer in da Souff means unexpected wedder changes tho’ so weez just gunna enjoy da sun while it be here. Course weez been readin’ sum of our furiends posties fwum udder places and they be havin’ un-seasonal wedder too. So whose to say what be normal anymore. Anyways, enuff ‘bout da wedder weez got a yummy to share wiff ya’ today.

You know we luv our Chewy and we just got our auto-delivery fwum them a kupple days ago, so we have a gweat box fur boxin’ day. And we got our review box fur da mumff too. Yep 2 boxes at one time. You know how much us kitties luv boxes. Anyways weez gunna be tellin’ ya’ ‘bout da Nutro Perfect Portions today. Nutro be pawt of da Mars Pet Furmily. We met a lot of da Mars peeps at BlogPaws and got sum samples too. Mommy even got a teeshirt. These Perfect Portions meals are da size of one of da small cans they just be divided into separate containers so dat yous not have to put any in da fwidge ifin yous kitty not be able to eat da whole 3 ounces at one time. You can give one Perfect Portion and when kitty finishes and wants more you can give da udder half and it’s still furesh cuz it’s never been opened.

This is weally nice fur sissy wight now cuz hers been eatin’ gweat since BlogPaws, but it takes her a little longer to eat now. Sissy will eat ‘bout da whole 1.3 ounces and then take a bweak and get a dwink of water or go to da pawdee box and take a 30 minute nap and then she’s back wantin’ more. Course this makes mommy and me happy campers (weez not campin’ so don’t know why we say dat, but…) and mommy gladly gives hers more. So, what about these Nutro Perfect Portions? Duz sissy like ‘em? Yep, sissy went to town and ate all hers side and wanted more. WooHoo All paws up fwum Lexi and a happy mommy. Next was to see how me liked it. Well me went in to smell da blob on meez plate and…me walked away. Me dusn’t weally like da pate’s so mommy wasn’t like shocked dat me didn’t wanna eat it, but she had hoped me wuld at least twy it. So she doctored it a bit wiff sum nip and…No joy, me walked away again. So paws down fwum me. But mommy sez dat’s okay havin’ sumfin’ good fur Lexi dat she will eat and enjoy is enuff to counter meez down paws. Now what about dat guaranteed analysis? Monday’s Pizza Party

Meowllo everypawdy.  First up let me fank you all fur yous purrayers.  Sis Lexi be duin’ a bit better.  But ifin yous kuld keep ‘em comin’ we sure wuld purreciate it.  Now let me splain.  Mommy decided dat we wuld take da day off Sunday and just hang out togedder.  It wuz a glorious day.  We played, and yes sissy did too.  We cuddled and luvved and had tweats.  Yep, sis Lexi ate sum tweats too.  Dat’s not da purrawlem.  She luvs da tweats, it’s da weal noms she hasn’t been eatin’.  Anyways, we just had a gweat day.  And so when we got up Monday and got weady to stawt ow visits, suddenly mommy membered hers had a doctors pointment hers self.  Well as you know, doctor day be a busy day wound here.  So we got no visitin’ dun cuz mommy wuz exhausted when we got home.  But there wuz more good news.

One of meez angel kitties fwum Christmas, Gracie, sent a Pizza Hut gift cawd.  Well of course they wuz closed on Christmas so no pizza then.  Mommy decided she wuld see ifin she kuld tempt sis lexi wiff sum pizza, so when we finished runnin’ wound and pickin’ up mommys meds and all we stopped by da Pizza Hut.  Order placed mommy and me sat down to wait.  Okay so me wuz alweady sittin’ but mommy took a seat and stwolled me over.  We talked fur a bit while waitin’.  We talked ‘bout sis Lexi and da call mommy had made to da VET.  Hims not seemed concerned and sed mommy shuld keep an eye on her, but dat since she wuz hungwy and innewested in eatin’ then we shuld just keep twyin’ diffewent fings.  Maybe hers taste buds changed when she turned 15 or sumfin’ like dat.  (peeshaw)  Me didn’t completely unnewstand what mommy wuz talkin’ ‘bout.  But da gist of it wuz dat we shuld just luv her and keep watchin’ her fur udder symptoms or purrawlems.  Yous gotta member, hims knows weez not hav munny, and dat weez can only chawge a hunnerd dollaws at a time.  So we fink (hope) hims just twyin’ to keep us fwum accwuin’ chawges ifin nuffin’ is weally wong.  Mommy’s finkin’ dat so long as nuffin’ changes fur da worse then hers will (do what da VET sez and keep an eye on her) and take her in nex week and hope dat da VET will know which test to run first based on hers symptoms.  But ifin hers can get all better afur then…we won’t be complainin’.

‘Bout dat time da nice girly at da counter called out to mommy and told her ow pizza wuz weady.  Pizza in hand, we headed fur home.  Oh catness, ifin me hadn’t been zipped into meez stwoller me wuld been all in dat there pizza.  It smelled so good.  When we walked in da door da smell wafted fwu da house and sis lexi quickly appeared.  Nose in da air, she wuz lookin’ fur da source of dat pepperoni wiff extwa cheese smell.  Mommy got da kitchen all cleaned up and got us all plates so we kuld sit down and hav a pizza pawty.  And da bestest of all…sis Lexi scawffed hers pizza wight down.  It wuz delishus.  They had a new cook and hims wuz twyin’ to impurress da manager.  And wow, he did a gweat job wiff ow pizza, dat’s fur sure.

So hopefully we got nuffin’ furgotten or unexpected happenin’ today and we can make it wound to visit.  We wuz finkin’ bout you all yesfurday.  Sum of you we haven’t heard fwum in a while and we hope yous duin’ okay.  Udders of you we know awe havin’ yous own twubbles wight now.  Purrlease know weez purrayin’ fur ya’ and sendin’ lots of hugs yous way.  And weez’ll be wound to see ya’ just as soon as we can.

You’re Kidding, Right?

Meowllo everypawdy!!!  Did yous all make it fwu da festivities and pawties and hoopla of da new year?  We had a nice quiet evenin’ at home cuddlin’ in da new year wiff mommy.  We turned off da puter and just spent sum quality time bein’ togedder.  You know it’s gotten weally cold here lately, so snugglin’ is weally high on ow list.  After all isn’t dat what mommy’s awe fur?  Yesfurday wuz 21 degwees wiff a chill factor of 17.  Dat’s cold fur us. Weez know sum of yous in da single digits and below, but weez hope we don’t get dat this year.  Weez can hope.  MOL  So anyways, today mommy had to get out and go up town fur a bit.  We had da door closed so we didn’t weally know how cold it wuz outside.  Da neighbor and Buddy’s daddy wuz wheelin’ wound outside in hims short sleeve t-shirt and no shoes.  Course hims duz dat all year wound, so we shuldn’t hav paid any tention to hims, but we fawt it must mean it wuz a little warmer today.

So mommy called da fawmacy to make sure she wusn’t gettin’ out fur nuffin’, and all wuz a go.  She gwabbed hers coat and put on hers shoes and then looked at me and sed, “Okay Dezi, let’s get goin’.”  Me stwetched a bit and she opened da fwunt door and…OMC me kuld feel da cold to meez bones.  Fur coat or not dat wuz just ungodly cold.  Me turned wight wound and went back in fwunt of da lectric fireplace.  Mommy giggled and then sed in da sweet mommy voice, you know da one, hers sed, Dezi, oh sweet Dezi.  Like me didn’t know what wuz goin’ on.  Me knows she wants sumfin’ when she uses dat voice.  She kep it up, Dezi she sed, sweetheart, honey, awe you gunna go to town wiff mommy, she sed.  Hmmpht Yous finks me wants to go out in dat cold?  Awe yous cwazy?  Dat’s zactly what me wuz finkin’.  Mommy musta went nuts over night ifin she fawt me wanted to leave da warmff of da house to go up town.  Purrlease, what’s to see?  And then she laid it on weally fick.  She put on da pouty face and looked over at me and sed Dezi dawlin’, me knew what wuz comin’ nex, she wanted me to hop up in da stwoller.  Me looked at hers and squeeked.  And then me put on da pouty face.  MOL  You know, 2 can play dat game.  Me fawt surely she wuz kiddin’, she didn’t weally wanna get out in at cold, did she?  It wus so cold dat all da humidity and condensation had turned to ice.  Mommy looked at me and laffed.  She sed, “Oh sweet Dezi, I was just kidding, I’m fine and not going to be gone that long.  I wasn’t goin’ to ask you to get out in this anyways.  Whew Me wuz sure glad she didn’t want me to go.

She went to get hers purse, and me fawt ’bout it and went and hopped in da stwoller.  When mommy got back up fwunt she saw me in da stwoller and sed, “Aaaw Sweety I relly appreciate it, but really, I’m only going to be a few minutes and it would take a lot longer to take you than to just run up town by myself this time.”  Me always worries when mommy decides to go sumwhere wiffout me, but when it’s these small little twips me dusn’t worry as much.  Mommy left and wuz back home afur me kuld even close meez eyes and fall into nap land again.  But she wuz cold fwum da top of her head to da tippy toes.  So after she put everyfin’ down and took off hers coat, sis Lexi and me did a cuddlefest and warmed hers back up.  So twu to da silly superstition, we spent ow first day of da new year duin’ zactly what we did when da clock stwuck midnight, cuddlin’ wiff mommy.
