MIA–Lost in the Flood

OMC Wees been MIA all week. Da last time me posted mommy wus gunna hav hers udder eye lasered.  Well dat didn’t happen.  Mommy had been havin’ twubble wiff da eye that they did first, and so da surgeon took a look at it and fawt da retina might be twyin’ tu detach.  So hims didn’t wanna work on da wight eye til da left wus all cleared up.  So mommy has tu see hims fur anudder check tu make suwe evewfiings okay.  Hers plans tu twy tu schedule da wight eye fur da first pawt of August.  So wight now hers weally can’t see so good.  MOL

But ifin yous fink that’s da only weason wees not made a posty or visited, yous wuld wong.  Cuz on Wednesday meez stawted dancin’ all ovew da place cuz wees had a surprise all ovew da floors and cawpet.  See da pawtment nex door tu us be empty and management has been paintin’ and cleanin’ it tu get it weady tu rent.  But durin’ da day sumtime a pipe busted and flooded da pawtment.  Since nopawdy wus there, then nopawdy knew what wus happenin’ til all thay water came fwu da walls and flooded ow pawtment.  Suddenly wees had a 3″ ‘lake’ in ow house.  All da emergency nummews mommy had fur da manager had been disconnected.  After callin’ anuddew wesident mommy finally got a nummer that worked, but it went stwaight tu voicemail.  So mommy had tu get out and walk tu find da manager.  Da manager gave mommy a small 1 gallon wet vac tu twy tu clean up all da water. Since it wus 7:00 p.m. Da manager wuldn’t call da carpet cleanin’ men til da nex day.  After watchin’ mommy twy tu suck up as much water as hers kuld, da manager decided tu bwing up hers carpet cleaner.  And hers pwoceeded tu push da water further intu da house.  And then hers decided tu leav.  Da cawpet wus still sloshin’, and all da tiles in da house wus still wet, and mommy wus left tu it.  Hers worked til 3:00 a.m. twyin’ tu get up ass much water as pawssible, afur hers collapsed.  Then on Fursday da cawpet cleaners and fwu all of mommys stuff all ovew da place.  All wees had wus a little paff tu get tu da pawdee box and da bed.  They put big fans undew da cawpet which caused it tu float 3 feet off da floor.  And then they put up a big dehumidifier and asked mommy ifin hers had sumwhere tu go.  Mommy sed of course not, and they left after tellin’ hers that they wuld be back in 24 hours tu du da same fing tu da bedwoom and then da walls.  Fankfully a kupple of ow wunnewful furiends put sum gween papers in mommys paypal account so wees stayed in a nice quiet clean motel woom last night.  🙂  Wees awe twuly blest and wuld like tu say a meowsy big Fank Yous fur there sacwifice.  Wees know times be hawd fur evewpawdy so wees awe evew so gwateful fur dis nice woom.  Anyways, wees had da oppurrtunity tu ‘splain why wees not been visitin’ or commentin’ and such.  Wees will get caught up sumday soon, so don’t give up on us.  🙂  These videos awen’t da gweatest, but wees fawt yous might enjoy seein’ Lexi and meez floatin’ on da magic dwyin’ cawpet.  MOL                  

 

Wees know that ow last posty hinted ’bout a gweat box post, but wees will save that fur anudder time once da house be dwy and put back tugeddew. In da meantime wees will shawe a video of meez and da nip nana fwum Marty da Manx and Miss Kelly Jo.  Is purretty dawk, but meez finks yous get da idea.  MOL        

 Wees pawlogize fur any sentences dat wun tugeddew and da long pawagwaff, but mommy be exhausted while writin’ dis posty and can’t hawdly keep hers eyes open.   🙂

What Makes a Furiend?

What makes a furiend?  Those 4 words whethew posed as a question or as a statement, kuld spawk a debate and end wiff fousands of diffewent answers or cause a war.  As yous all know (cuz wees told yous lots of times–mol), wees live in a vewy small town.  And fur lots of weasons wees don’t get out much and therefur wees not weally hav many furiends here.  Well when we got dis ‘putew almost a year ago mommy did what most evewone dus, and cweated a Facebook account.  Hers had no clue what hers wus duin, and not wantin’ tu be splattewed all ovew da net, hers put it in me and Lexi’s name and added da foo furmily membews dat wuld accept hers furiend wequest.  MOL  And then hers went ’bout likin’ da gwocery stowes so hers kuld see their ads and specials.  And then one day while goin’ fwu da news feed hers saw an ad fur a cat website.  So hers went and took a look and afur shes knew it (like wiff purretty much evewfin’ wees get intu online) wees had an account and wus followin and likin’ kittys fwum wound da world.  And one day one of da kittys wus askin’ fuw ow facebook page so they kuld like us.  Well mommy had been finkin’ ’bout tellin’ Lexi and meez stowwy and just didn’t know where tu du it so people kuld wead it.  And this kitty furiend sed dat Facebook wus a gweat place.  Da nex fing wees knew, ow Facebook page wus cweated.  And of course wees stawted gettin’ likes (followers).  Afur wees knew it, wees stawted lookin’ furward tu weadin’ ’bout ow kitty furiends evewday and innewactin’ wiff them.  And then wees stawted learnin’ sum of da hoomans names and weally lookin’ furward tu their visits wiff us online.  As time passed wees found ourselves shawin’ in their day tu day lives.  Celebwatin’ when they celebwated and cwyin’ when they cwied.  They did da same fur us.  And wees all purrayed tugeddew when there wus a need.  Wees all began tu innewact wiff each uddew. Ow “furiends” wiff us and  uddew of ow “furiends”.  Then came da purrsonal messages and emails where wees got tu know sum of ow “furiends” bettew and became closer.  Wees wuld talk ’bout da good times and da bad times and da evewday times.  And wees stawted havin’ feelins of luv and warmff fur these “furiends”.  

But how can yous call sumpawdy yous nevew met a Furiend?  And yet dat’s exactly what wees did.  Sum of these furiends became so special tu us dat wees fawt of them as furmily.  Da same fing has happened here in da blogosphere.  See wees a bit behind wight now cuz mommy wus sick fur so long, but each day even tho’ wees might not kuld hav visited yous all; wees did twy tu visit as many as wees kuld.  Cuz wees missed yous adventures and fotos and stowwys and lives.  Wees didn’t and don’t want tu lose touch.  So at da end of da day, isn’t dat what yous wuld call a furiend?  Webster defiines a furiend as: a purrson whom one knows well and is fond of.  Well dat’s fuw suwe how wees feel ’bout all of yous.  

All dat bein’ sed, wees had a visit yesfurday fwum one of those furiends.  And even tho’ wees had nevew met this purrson afur, ow meetin’ felt like HOME.  There wus so much wees alweady knew ’bout this purrson and yet so much wees didn’t.  But what a wunnewful visit wees had.  It wus so pawsum tu put a purrson tu a name and and all da comments made on ow postys.  Tu be able tu see and smell and touch that purrson hoo until now had just been a like or comment and message fwu da net waves wus so amazin’.  And they not only came tu visit, but also bwought gifts.  Yous know wees wulda been just as happy tu see them even ifin all they bwought wus themselves. But wees awe vewy gwateful fuw alll they bwought tu us. A meowsy big Fank yous tu yous dear sweet furiend. 🙂  And then they wus off.  Da nex time wees wead a posty or see a comment, it will be dat much mowe dear tu us because now wees hav a mowe substantial unnewstandin’ of ow furiend.   😀   And they will always be welkum at ow house.  🙂  Wees wish wees kuld meet mowe of yous.

And speakin’ of special furiends, meez told yous a little bit ago dat ow furiend awnty Jennifer wus gettin’ meez a new hawness.  Well it got here and meez luvs it.  🙂  Fank yous so much awnty Jennifer yous awe pawsum.

Tunite is da sock hop ovew at da Cat Scouts and meez so excited me can barely contain meselff.  🙂  Lookin’ furward tu seein’ evewpawdy all dwessed up in their 50’s outfits and dancin’ da night away. 🙂

Blest Sunday!!!

Dezi:  Well where tu begin…?   As most of yous know mommys been undew da weddew fuw a while now.  Havin tests and gettin’ nowhere.  But lots of yous been purrayin’ fuw hers and wees fuw suwe ‘purreciate all of da purrayers and good fawts.  Wees believe they be workin’.  Cuz mommy be feelin’ a bit bettew and hers gettin’ stwongew by da day.  Wees awe Blest!!!   Duwin’ da time dat mommy’s not been feelin’ so well, wees wecieved sevewal packages and wees weally let down on postin’ adequate fotos/videos.  So wees fawt wees wuld take tuday tu post a foo of those.  Altho’ mommy weally took sum bad fotos.  MOL  Pawently hers kuldn’t use da camewa vewy well duwin’ dis time, (dat’s me stowwy and meez stickin’ tu it) so purrlease fuwgiv da bad quality of da videos and just know dat wees fuw suwe awe gwateful fuw all ow goodys, awen’t wees sis Lexi?          

Lexi:  Weez shur are.  I’z fink weez beez da bleztezt kittyz in da werld Dezi.

  Dezi:  Meez agwees wiff yous Lexi.  And on dat note, wees wanna say a meowsy big Fank yous again tu Marty and Ms. Kelly Jo.  As yous can see by da video and foto, wees weally luv da nip nana.  And altho’ da only fotos mommy can seem tu get of me is aftew meez finished and walkin’ away; meez uses da self gwoomew all da time.  As fuw da littew mat…mommy wuldn’t take a foto of da pawdee boxes but wees weally purreciate da mat.  Wees fink mommy purreciates it even mowe.  MOL

Lexi:  Yep I’z fink soz.  Da mat meanz herz nawt trakkin’ litter tu da bed on herz feet cuz weez nawt trakkin’ litter awl ober da floor.  MOL  And weez kant get enuff ob da mawltee (hairball treatment).  Datz like a treet awl by itselb.  😀    

Lexi:  And kumm on, don’t youz fink I’z gawdid a Cheshire cat grin sittin’ on da tree weez gawdid?

Dezi:  Yep sissy meez finks yous look puretty cool.  Meez likes tu sit up there and check out what’s goin’ on outside. And of course dwive mommy cwazy by chewin’ da stwings that attach da mice.  MOL So again tu hoo evew sent us da twee, Fank yous.  Wees luv it.

Wees hav also won a foo contests and wecieved uddew wunnewful gifts.   Blest is da only way tu descwibe how wees feel.  Yous awe all pawsum and wees hope and purray that yous hav a Blest Sunday tu.   Blessings come in all fowms.   Wees awe twuly blest tu hav each uddew, all da west be icin’ on da cake.  😀

OMC Can meez tell ya’ ’bout yesfuwday??  Meez not visited anypawdys blog or weplied tu anypawdys comments on meez blog.  Wanna know why??  Well fuw da first time dis munff mommy actually had sum enewgy and had a faiwly good day.  😀   So ‘stead of helpin’ sis Lexi and meez get caught up, hers cleaned house.  (WTC=what the cat)   In all faiwness tho’ it wus stowmin’ here and mommy dusn’t like tu be on da ‘putew when it be stowmin’.  Hers ‘fwaid that it’s gunna cwash or sumfin’.  Meez gotta tell ya’ that mommys biggest fear ’bout da ‘putew is that it will cwash or bweak sumhow.  So hers be a bit paranoid caweful.  

Anyways while wees wus havin’ ow noms da mail lady came and bwought us a box.  Meez won da Furminator Shed Control Cloths fwum Oui Oui and they awwived yesfuwday.  Only they not be all that wus in da box.  Oh My Catness wees kuldn’t believ all da goodys in da box.  WooHoo wees be sum blest kittys fuw suwe.  And yous know what??  There wus even sum tweats fuw mommy.  Sowwy wees not hav any fotos of mommy eatin’ hers tweats.  Wees kittys not hav fumms.  MOL  Pawently yous need mowe then just paws tu hold da flashy box and focus and snap off a foto.  Hoo wulda known it wus dat hawd.  Maybe meez oughta quit razzin’ mommy fuw takin’ sum bad fotos.  Wees not always da most coopewativ kittys aftew all. MOL   Usually ifin wees see da flashy box wees wun stwaight ovew tu mommy fuw a close up.  So it’s sumtimes hawd fuw hers tu catch dat candid foto.  MOL  

Wees all wanna say a meowsy big Fank yous tu Oui Oui, Mica Minnie Moo, Julie and Carl and their mommy.  And ifin yous havn’t alweady go by and see them. Yesfuwday wus Julie and Carls Meowday.  And what a pawty they had.  😀   It wus like it wus ow Meowday tu.  Wees got da Cloths that wees won, but wees also got a kupple bags of yummy tweats and OMC da toys.  Wees got toys and da cutest cawd and da smells on da box………is always nice when wees can exchange scents wiff ow furiends.  🙂  Wees twuly be blest.
