Hurry Raena, it’s Blest Sunday and time fur us to write our posty. Besides, it’s me’s turn in mommy’s lap. You’ve been hoggin’ it all meownin’.

 

 

 

          I’s can count mine’s Blessings from here sissy. It’s mommy’s special day and I’s want her to know how much I’s luvs her.  

 

 

 

 

Me’s purretty sure she knows Raena. Now move over, it’s me’s turn to show her luv. (A few hisses and spits are exchanged when Dezi tries to push Raena out of mommy A’s lap. Raena finally moves over and lays down beside mommy while Dezi climbs all over mommy, rubbing her with her head and chin.)  

 

          You’re such a suck up sissy.  

 

 

 

 

Uh uh. Me just wants mommy to feel special. You’re the suck up. Always head buttin’ her and chasin’ her all over the place. She can’t even go to the pawtty without you stickin’ your paws in there s’posedly to help.   

 

 

 

 

          It’s our job to help mommy, sissy. Maybe ifin you did more she wouldn’t have needed me. (Raena thinks a minute about what she just meowed) Uh, Never mind. You know what I’s meant. Sometimes, you can be lazy. Mommy should never have to call us fur help. We should always be at the ready.   

 

Sure Raena, you do that. Me’s been ‘round long enuff to know when it’s safe to take a nap.  

 

 

 

 

          I’s get purrlenty of naps sissy. I’s just purrfur to take ‘em in mommy’s lap, just in case she needs somethin’.  

 

 

 

 

Whatever Raena. Kittens,  Me thinks these close quarters are beginnin’ to get to us. We’ve all been a little extra snappy lately. We should be gettin’ along. Today’s a really special day fur mommy.  

 

          Now is this mommy’s birthday sissy?  

 

No Raena, that’s not fur a couple of weeks, this is Mother’s day in the USA. And we are so Blest to have such a pawsumly luvvin’ mommy.   

 

          We sure are sissy. Ya’ know, we don’t ‘member our cat mommies, so we celebrate the only mommy we’ve ever known. A real mommy doesn’t have to carry you in her tummy or give birth to you to give you life. Sure there are lots of great birth mommies out there, but there are also lots of mommies like ours. They luvs cuz they choose to. They give cuz they want to. And they treasure us cuz they have hearts big enuff to hold a motherless child. No matter what kind of mommy you have, let her know how much you luvs and ‘purreciates her today and every day.     

 

 

 

 

That’s right Raena. And this week, the Blessing at the top of our list, is mommy. No matter what may be goin’ on ‘round us, or what she might be goin’ thru, she never furgets to show us how much she luvs us. As we do each week, we’d like to remind you all to take a minute today and every day to Give Thanks fur the Blessings in your lives. And thank you so much fur being Blessings in ours.
