I Audra, am the human behind Service Cats U.S. aka DezizWorld. I am disabled and use cats as service animals instead of dogs. They are just as capable and can perform duties other animals cannot. We started our online journey to bring awareness to the ability of cats and to help others understand the relationship between a service animal and their handler/person. We offer training tips and tricks that I have learned through the years along with other information on all things feline. We began this journey in 2014 with Lexi and Dezi. They have since gone on to heaven, but our journey continues. This blog is about our daily life from the kitty's point of view. Meowllo everypawdy hope yous all luvvin’ and huggin’ on yous kitties and doggies and bunnies and piggies and well you get da idea. Today is Hug Yous Cat Day. But we fink everypawdy needs lots of hugs every day. So go ahead and have a hug. (Dezi wraps paws and arms around computer screen) As you know mommy isn’t very good at selfies and she didn’t buy one of those selfie sticks we read ‘bout afur BlogPaws, but rest assured weez getting’ lots and lots of hugs. Weez a little late getting’ our posty out today cuz pawently mommy didn’t finish getting’ all rested up and just fell asleep last night afur we kuld write meez posty. And ifin weez bein’ honest, so did Lexi and me. MOL So we fawt dat stead of floodin’ you wiff BlogPaws posties till yous sick of ‘em we wuld stwetch ‘em out and fwo in a few udder posties in tween ‘em. Weez keepin’ it short and sweet today cuz mommy has hers wegular mumffly doctors pointment so weez gunna be busy, busy. We did get ‘bout half way caught up wiff visitin’ yesfurday, so ifin weez didn’t make it by yous place, hold on, weez comin’. What A Time…

Meowllo everypawdy how have yous all been? It seems like furever since weez chatted last. But let me tell ya’, what a time dat has been. Weez not know how sum of ya’ keep up wiff all dat was goin’ on and still makin’ postys and visitin’, cuz we just didn’t have time. And by da time mommy got in fur da night, she was so exhausted there’s no way she kuld help us on da puter. Da posty we did make took hours cuz she kept fallin’ asleep at da desk. (yes, da wifi was indeed furee duwin’ da conference.) OMC da swag and da furiends and da twip and da room and…well it’s gunna take us a while to tell ya’ everyfin’, so weez’ll do this a little at a time. Oh and da dwive? Yep weez’ll be tellin’ ya’ all ‘bout dat too, just not today. Today weez gunna talk ‘bout BlogPaws itsselff okay?.

Lexi: Oh sissy weez doo habz lotz too tell eberpawdy doent we? Several ov ya’ had wunnerd ibin mommy taykin’ me on such a long trip wuz a good idea. And mommy kep tellin’ ya’ dat I’z lubbed too travel weez jiz doent git too doo it a lot cuz ov da green payperz. But weez hoep abter seein’ me in akshun and reedin’ ‘bout our adbenshurs, youz’ll unnerstand why mommy didunt fink twice ‘bout taykin’ me too BlogPaws 2015. It wuz az da hoomanz say, jiz what da doctor ordered.

Dezi: Yes sissy it was zactly what you needed wasn’t it? And yous had to show off too, didn’t ya’? You all know we be service cats, not celebricats. Altho’ weez wanna be celebracats sumday, weez not quite there yet. So anyways, weez not used to “entertaining guests”. So me didn’t come wound when we had visitors to our room. Me was all ‘bout da showin’ off when me was downstairs tho’. And yous’ll get to see sum of those fotos too. Oh Brian and furmily we can’t fank you enuff fur sponsorin’ us so we kuld go to BlogPaws Nashville. And of course weez got bit by da BP bug and wanna go next year too. It’s gunna be in Phoenix Arizona in June. We hope to be further along wiff our bloggy by then, and maybe even have a sponsor. WooHoo, wuldn’t dat be sumfin’?

And all of ya’ dat gave us gween papers fur da twip, fank you so much. And a meowsy big fank you to Ms. Tonya fur puttin’ us up in a motel afur leavin’ and comin’ home. When we tell ya’ ‘bout da twip yous’ll get why weez so gwateful. And we got to meet awnty Mary who lives in Nashville and hers bwought mommy sum Cokes. See we wuz in da middle of Pepsi kuntwy, and mommy purrfurs Coke. Not to mention those nasty Pepsi’s was spensive. OMC So a meowsy big fank ya’ awnty Mary. And we did an interview. Oh what fun. They didn’t know a lot ‘bout cat behavior, but it was still lots of fun.

Mommy weally enjoyed da classes, and all da visitinn’ and meetin’ of furiends. Oh and fanks fur da goodies Wally, Ernie and Zoey. Wow it wasn’t just a business cawd they gave mommy but also a little sumfin’ sumfin’ fur us too. And yes, mommy passed out our business cawds too. And she networked wiff sum of da bwands and we can’t wait to work wiff ‘em. This is gunna be so much fun. We took turns goin’ down wiff mommy to events and such, and cuz there was so many peeps there and mommy hung out wiff a few of them purretty regular, she left us in da room to rest sumtimes too.

But mommy kep sayin’ sumpin’ ‘bout da doggiez and how ibin they wuz too lunge at me like they had erleer I’z woodunt habz any purrtekshun and kuldunt git away frum ‘em. So I’z hung out in da room wiv you and da swag. Owe da swag… (looks off dreamily) By da way, I’z ate sooooooo good on diz trip dat mommy awlmowzt kuldunt bulleeb it. Weez’ll be tellinn’ ya’ awl ‘bout dat when we tayk a look at sum ov da swag on itz own.

Dezi: Yep yous made a little piggy of yousselff sissy. But it was so good to see yous eatin’ so well. Now just keep it up. And lots of fanks to all those who gave us samples and those who weally helped out wiff sis Lexi’s eatin’. She found a food dat she weally liked and they gave us lots of extwa. Weez be twuly blest. Fanks to all da speakers and teachers who put on classes. We learned bunches and bunches. And fanks to all our furiends fur bein’ so nice to mommy and us. Dog’s dwool and meez seen it up close and purrsonal

Howdy y’all, how ya’ be duin’? As you all know weez be in Nashville at da Blog{aws Conference havin’ a blast. Wait’ll ya’ hear ‘bout our twip to get here. OMC!!! But weez gunna save dat fur when we get back. MOL Well like me sed weez be havin’ a blast but we awe tired. All oof us includin’ mommy. Now you all know dat mommy be a caffeine addict, wight? Well dat be twu, but she duz have hers purrfured bwands of caffeine poisons. Mommy luvs hers coffee, but when it be hotter than a two dollaw whore on a log stove se likes a colder caffeine in da furm of coke. Do you know what she can’t get any of in all this hotel…COKE. Nope, nowhere in this overpurriced hotel in any event or vendin’ machine. She saw a young boy on a balcony acwoss da way wiff a coke and asked him where hims got it. Yep yous guessed it, they bwought ‘em wiff ‘em.

Well anyways, da convention is in full swing today. When mommy was getting’ weady to go down this meownin’ Lexi got so fwaid mommy was gunna go down wiffout her dat she jumped up in da stwoller afur mommy was even weady and waited. So mommy took sis Lexi to bwekky wiff her and to da meownin’ class and exhibit hall. They weally raked in da goodies let me tell ya’. But mommy fawt dat it might be a little much fur sissy and bwought her back to da room and got me. Well you shulda seen da cat twee they had down their iin da kitty section of da exhibit hall. Well stead of me tellin’ ya ‘bout it let me just show ya’. Me got to play model, by da way. Everypawdy was gathewin’ wound and talkin’ ‘bout me and snappin’ fotos wight and left. Well why wuldn’t they? Mommy sez me is a very purretty girly and me sure was enjoyin’ da limelight. MOL

OMC me furgot to tell ya’ dat when mommy came bwingin’ sissy back to da room earlier, Ms. Ava fwum ChristyPaws came to visit too. And then there was a knck on da door and it was Sophie and Ms. Emily fwum da Kitty Cat Chronicles. Well me had to show meez tired ole hiney and me wuldn’t even come out to play. But sissy and Sophie played a bit afur sissy runned off. Dat Sophie be quite energetic. We don’t fink hers had nearly as long a twip as we did, cuz dat girl just didn’t get tired. MOL But she was a cutey indeed. Weez just luv her. Fanks fur stoppin’ by. Sowry weez wasn’t up to playin’, maybe next time.

Anyways, mommy and me went to a class, and altho’ we sat in da back there was this doggy dat kep twyn’ to lunge at me. And finally hims bwoke loose and did and barked and growled. It scared me a bit, so mommy bwought me back upstairs and she went back fur more visitin’ and classes. Well me has so much more to tell ya’ but weez gotta get weady fur Happy Meow-ur and our interview and visit wiff nun udder than awnty Mary. And as we do every Furiday weez joining Rascal and Rocco fur da Pet Purrade

Well here we are runnin’ late again. MOL Mommy was all packed up wiff da ‘ception of da last minute fings, last week. And then she read a bloggy dat caused her to unpack and stawrt over again. Hoomans, y’all do sum of da funniest fings. Anyways, she’s just ’bout to wrap it up again and then jump in da shower and weez’ll be off. Weez dwivin’ up to see da hooman of Prancer Pie. She be our ride. And cuz she be 4 hours away fwum us weez dwivin’ there today so we can get a early stawrt in da meownin’ and get on to Nashville. Now let me tell ya’ sumfin’. You all know weez have had pawful stowrms all mumff long here and no sunshine. Till today when da sun came out and mommy checked da wedder and now dat we be leavin’ town and da state, da wedder sez all clear and sunny here. MOL  Can you believe dat? Oh well, weez still ‘cited and ready to go. There seems to be conflictin’ tales ’bout da wifi at da hotel, so all weez’ll say iis dat weez hope to post sumfin at sumtime. Lexi and me wanna wish our mommy a Happy Birffday today. Yep weez’ll be celebwatin’ all weekend long. MOL Y’all be good and don’t furget ’bout us and weez’ll be finkin’ ’bout all of ya’.
