OMC Time be flyin’ by. Here it is alweady almost da weekend again. Mommy’s makin’ sum headway and we almost hav da whole bedwoom floor back. So since we hav all dat room back again, Lexi and me hav been purracticin’ fur ow vewy own race. Weez been runnin’ at full speed fwu da house. And fur sum weason’ dat just weally amuses mommy. Hers been sittin’ down and watchin’ us and gwinnin’ so much weez fawt hers face wuz stuck. Of course yous all know dat sis Lexi be on up there in years, but hers weally duz play like a yungster. And wiff all da boxes wound hers got all these ladders and steps dat help hers reach fings hers hasn’t been able to jump on by hers selff these last foo years.

So mommy wuz in da kitchen washin’ da bwekky dishes and hers heard da sound of funder wumblin’ fwu da house. Well da last time mommy had looked at da wedder and outside fur dat matter, da sun wuz shinin’ and there wuz no rain in sight. So hers gwabbed da dish towel to dwy hers hands and came to da edge of da dinin’ room where hers wuz met by a flash of white fluff and then a black stweak. Mommy stopped dead and then  WHOOSH a flash ob black followed immediately by a flash of white floof and POUND, POUND, SQUISH! Lexi wuz chasin’ me and then me wuz chasin’ hers. And when weez got to da bedroom weez hopped fwum 1 box to da udder and landed on da bed and rolled wound. We boff looked up and saw mommy standin’ at da doorway wiff da dish towel hangin’ fwum hers hand and hers eyes leakin’ all ovew da place. And Lexi and me wuz boff just layin’ there lookin’ at hers and then mommy came ovew and crawled on da bed wiff us and held us close and da wumble of purrs stawted.

Mommy pawlogized fur all da upset weez been fwu lately and da messy house and havin’ all ow stuffs packed up and bein’ cawted off to motels and not havin’ da room to run and play fur so long. And lexi and me nuzzled in a little closer and meowed to mommy. Yous know what weez wuz sayin’? Dat weez didn’t cawe and dat it wuz okay. Cuz da whole time mommy wuz wight there wiff us. And dat’s all weez needed. Now don’t get me wong, weez enjoyin’ gettin’ mowe and mowe of ow pawtment back and bein’ able to play, but weez wuldn’t want it ifin mommy wusn’t here wiff us. Once ow little luv fest wuz ovew, mommy went back to washin’ da dishes and Lexi went to take a nap and me went to watch ovew mommy while hers worked. And of course me had to play in a foo boxes while hers unpacked and wiff a foo toys when hers took bweaks. All in all……a vewy good day. Open-mouthed smile  And guess what? Weez gunna do it again tomowwo.   Smile

Weez got sum gweat news, but mommy sez weez hav to wait a bit to tell it to yous all. Well me wants to fank evewypawdy dat has twied to splain da new toilet to me. Mommy sez me can weport dat meez not jumpin’ outta meez fur anymowe and meez not running lickety split fwum da room. Meez not hangin’ ovew da edge watchin’ meez business get sucked down it yet, but mommy assures me afur long it will be old news. And me wants to say dat we wusn’t complainin’ ‘bout it in da first place, we wuz just postin a funny ‘bout sumfin’ new. Anyways, we hav lots of fings to cover and we don’t wanna ovewload yous wiff all da news at once.  Me wants to tell yous ‘bout an award me wuz nominated fur.

Now meez blog wuz awarded  da One Lovely Blog Award by meez sweet furiends and fellow cat scout Shoko and hers sisfur Kali, and then also by Miss Ellen and da gang ovew at 15 and Meowing, where Sophie and Sammy awe celebwatin’ their Meowdays today, so pop on ovew and join da pawty.  Fank yous, dat wuz so vewy sweet of yous all. Me has to link back to them, which me just did, and then me needs to tell 7 fings ‘bout meselff. Well let’s see, what is it yous not know yet? Hmmmmm (tilts head to one side and leans head on paw thinking) Well…..Oh (perks up)

1. Meez luvs good fur ya’ noms and tweats. Me dusn’t like “junk” tweats at all.

3. Me luvs all toys. Me dusn’t weally hav a favowit. Mommy sez dat most kitties, at least da ones hers has had in hers house hav always had a purreference. Eevew nip toys, balls and twacks, feather wands, etc.. But not me, me luvs ‘em all.  Hey sissy why don’t yous take a foo.

4. I’z sleep on da bed wiff mommy and Dezi at nite, and sumtimez durin’ da night I’z will klime up on da “pillow hill” dat mommy mayd fur me at da hed of da bed. Aldoe rite now minez “pillow hill” duzn’t eggz-izt soz I’z sleep on mommyz pillow rite abuv herz hed. 

5.  Even doe mommy sez I’z will eet anyfin’ dat duzn’t eet me, I’z reely am pikee. 

6. Ibin mommy feedz me chiken in da meowninz I’z fro it rite up. But I’z kin eet chiken any udder time a day.  Hey Dezi, why don’t weez let mommy tayk da lazt wun?

And anypawdy els dat dusn’t hav it. Yous all hav pawsum blogs and deserve this award.

Well meez furiend Bacon has a little mumffly posty called Show and Tell. It’s ‘bout long lost favowits fwum yous past. This will be da first time weez been able to join in, and it’s bout dat childhood favowit food. Lexi sed hers can’t member what hers favowit kittenhood nom wuz. Course what’d’ya spect fwum sumkitty as old as she is?. But me suwe members meez favowit. Yous know how me told yous dat me had tapeworm when me came to live wiff mommy and how me wuz too young to tweat wiff da medicine?  Well of course mommy had to giv me sumfin’ to get rid of those nasty fings but kuldn’t take a chance of hurtin’ me eevew. So hers used one of those natuwal home remedies. Hers bought pumpkin seeds and put them fwu da Ninja til they wuz like a fine powder, and then she mixed in a little garlic powder and wuld add distilled water to make a paste. OMC Fur medicine dat stuff wuz yummy. She had to giv it to me 4 times a day, but me wulda gladly ate it all day. Meez gotta tell ya’ me kuldn’t get enuff. Mommy sez it takes longer to get better on those old home remefies, but at leasst they’re safe and fur da most pawt evewy kitty likes ‘em. Lexi didn’t hav da worms, but hers liked it too. Now meez gunna let mommy tell yous ‘bout hers favowit donut. Take it away mommy.

 mommy: Thank you sweety. Yes my favorite childhood food was donuts. Every morning on the way to school my mother would take us to this little donut shop in an old gas station called Southern Maid. They made the best donuts in the world. (I hadn’t had donuts anywhere else at the time, but now that I have, I still think they have the best donuts ever) My favorite donut is the pine cone. It’s got just the right amount of cinnamon mixed in it, and they’re huge. A large yeast bread dough that has been manipulated to have all of these little bites on the  top. And then glazed with a sweet powdered sugar, milk and vanilla glaze. Oh my. They are best hot of course, but are even good a few days later. I’ve gotta find my fryer, oil and baking supplies. MOL

A Happy and Blest Sunday to you all. As you know mommy likes fur us to list ow blessings each week so dat no matter what  be goin’ on wound us weez member to giv fanks and  acknowledge dat we awe twuly blest. Well this week we hav been so blest weez not weally know where to stawt. As yous all know weez been weally goin’ fwu da fire here lately wiff ow pawtment situation. Or shuld we say flood. But of course dat’s not all we wuz facin’. But fwu it all mommy twied, notice me sed twied; to wemain calm and good natured. It didn’t always happen and sumtimes mommy didn’t fink hers wuz gunna make it. But evewytime one of those fawts came up in hers head, she wuld hear ow furiends and framly tellin’ hers to hang in there, and dat yous all wuz supportin’ us. So ow first huge blessing this week is you, all of you. You all made this twial a little mowe bearable and a lot easier. Fank yous all fur yous luv and support and furiendship.

And weez so fankful dat all ow furniture got put in da wight rooms finally and all da boxes moved to where mommy can unpack them. And dat weez got da purropurr toiet, even tho it skeered me almost outta meez fur. And weez got a taller fwidge on order and suppose to be delivered on or by October 8ff. And dat da vice purresident of da management company discovered dat mommy isn’t da purrsun da manager had lied to hims ‘bout and led hims to believ.

But dat’s not even where it stopped. As most of you know mommys chair wuz a hand me down dat wuz purrawly older than sis Lexi. And it wuz not in gweat shape when it wuz given to us, but mommy wuz fwilled to hav it. But hers put it fwu da paces once she got it, so we wuzn’t like shocked when it bwoke. Okay maybe a little shocked when da wood came pokin up outta da cloth. Meez not fink mommy had evew seen anyfin’ like dat afur. And of course bein’ hers only sittin’ chair dat meant hers wuz sittin’ on da floor. First it wuz da cold wet floor and then finally after evewyfin’ wuz weplaced it is da dwy floor.   And yet again, mommy be gwateful to hav a floor to sit on. Altho’ a chair wulda been pawsum. And knowin’ dat, Savannah and and her mommy, Miss Linda, put up a fundraiser fur us.

Miss Linda asked ifin anyfin’ else got destwoyed or ifin there wuz anyfin’ weez weally needed. Well mommy has a hospital bed wiff da foam mattwess dat weez all sleep on, dat had gotten wet cuz of all da moisture in ow pawtment. And sis Lexi’s not no spwing chick anymowe, howevew hers is still a big help to mommy. But as she gets older hers has mowe and mowe twubble gettin’ up on fings, Lexi dat is. MOL Yeah me kulda been talkin’ ‘bout mommy too. Anyways, mommy told Miss Linda ‘bout ow small cheap long ago bwoken steps fur Lexi and Miss Linda sed dat weez  must get sum steps fur Lexi so hers can continue to work. Ah come on, yous know meez gunna use ‘em too.  Anyways dat bwings us to todays blessings.

Pillin’ the Feline Chillun’ and Blog Hops

Well today be Fursday. Course yous all know dat wight? So why me be tellin’ ya’ sumfin’ yous alweady know is what yous askin’ yous selff. It’s cuz me wants to talk a little ‘bout blog hops. As yous also all know weez like to do a Blest Sunday posty evewy week. And weez been asked mowe than once why weez don’t join da Fankful Fursday blog hop. To be honest weez not even know hoo sponsors it, but weez do fink it’s a pawsum fing to do. Of course weez fink it’s a gweat idea to tell da fings yous be gwateful fur or blest by at least once a week. Mommy sits us down evewy day no matter what be goin’ on and weez list at least 5 fings dat weez be gwateful fur. Yes of course mommy be da one duin’ da listin’. Mommy sez this world weez liv in not be da nicest place and it’s so easy to lose sight of ones blessings by bein’ bogged down in da day to day stwuggle to just get by. Yous still wunnewin’ where me be goin’ awen’t yous.  Well let me just tell ya’.

When we stawted meez bloggy me knew nuffin’ ‘bout blog hops or days set aside fur specific kinds of postys or nun of dat. Weez weally wusn’t suwe what to do here. Weez just knew weez had a stowwy to tell and wanted to get dat out. But weez also wanted to hav fun and do sum educatin’. And one Caturday while visitin’ ow furiends weez came acwoss Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. Me had alweady posted meez posty, and me didn’t unnewstand what weez wuz weadin’, and we didn’t unnewstand why there wuz so many fotos of udder blogs on hers posty. And then weez clicked da “you’re nex” button finkin’ weez wuz leavin’ a comment. Only stead of goin’ to da comments weez went to a diffewent page. Well it asked fur a lot of da fings weez had to fill out to leav comments on udders blog postys so weez fawt nuffin’ ‘bout it and just filled it out. Nex fing weez knew meez foto wuz on Athena’s posty. And do yous know dat Athena wuz nuffin’ but nice to me even tho’ meez didn’t link back to hers bloggy. She visited meez bloggy and made a vewy sweet comment on meez posty and nevew once sed anyfin’ ‘bout da fact me didn’t acknowledge her. Da nex week meez had learned me wuz posed to link back, but no matter what me twied, me kuldn’t get hers linky to show up like a link yous kuld click on. Still Athena was vewy sweet and nevew once gwiped at me. Wiff da help of Sammy’s mommy Miss Pam, me finally learned how to link back to da blog hop. But me still furgot to add da foto of da blog hop to meez posty. And to this day me still dusn’t always get it wight, and Athena still be just as sweet to me today as da first time when me had no idea what me wuz duin’. Fank yous so much Athena and Marie.

And then me came acwoss da Pet Parade Blog Hop hosted by Rascal and Rocco wiff sevewal co hosts. And yet again half da time me dusn’t get meez linkys wight. And they’ve nevew once gwiped at meez eevew. And now me sumtimes posts selfies on Sunday and join up wiff da Kitties Blue, and yet weez nevew do it wight eevew. And they nevew once tell us not to join ‘em ifin weez can’t get it wight. Well weez did finally get each of their links and badges up on meez side baw even ifin me can’t wemember to put them in meez postys. And fankfully they awe all furgivin’, even though meez not duin’ it wight. Mommy purromises me each week hers will do better and yet each week hers furgets. So fur da most pawt dat’s why weez not join in on da Fankful Fursday blog hop. Weez can’t even do wight by da ones weez wegularly join so da last fing meez wants to do is join annuder one dat will hav to be patient and furgivin’ of me and mommy. And da second weason is dat weez weally like duin’ ow Blest Sunday postys. Bein’ Christians weez do fink of Sunday as da Lord’s day and weez know dat all blessings come fwum da Lord so weez like to post ow blessings then. It’s just a purrsunal fing and not a slight to anypawdy. As yous all know weez still vewy new to all of this so weez still be learnin’ and findin’ zackly what works fur us.

Weez also wanted to talk a little today ‘bout pillin’ da chillun’ of da feline purrsuasion. Most all of yous hav had to do it at one time or anudder. And no doubt yous hav twied vawious methods fwum pill pockets to favowit noms to da good ole stand by…..da pill pusher. But did yous know dat ifin yous not followin’ dat dose wiff sum water or even butter or cweam cheese yous may be causin’ inflamation or scarrin’ in da kitty dat kuld lead to an inability to even eat or dwink. Now fur suwe this wuld be mowe of a purrawlem fur those kitties dat take wegular medicines than those hoo get pilled a foo times in their lifetime. Now as most of yous know (cuz weez told yous) mommy wuz a Vet Tech. years ago, but sum of da fings hers duz today is cuz of what hers learned there. Back then weez not fink they knew these dangers, but da VET mommy worked fur sed, “you wouldn’t swallow a pill without something to wash it down would ya’?” And so all these years mommy’s been followin’ pills in kittys wiff water or butter. (most kitties luv butter) Yous can wead mowe ‘bout this here.

Weez awe away fur a while today cuz weez be gettin’ ow furniture and boxes moved and mommy dusn’t wanna be on da puter and in da way while they be twyin’ to move evewyfin’, so weez will get to all of yous bloggys to visit soon, okay.
