Dezi habz ternd ober da blog tu me tuday soz I’z kuld make one of owr ejukayshunal pozteez. Altho’ sinz diz be berry impurrtant, da gutz of da postee will be ritten in hooman. Soz az youz awl noze I’z ternd 15 yearz old in April of dis year. I’z still aktib and mozt pee-pull wuld nebber gezz I’z dat old. Weez ben azdid lawtz of timez how I’z stay so aktib and yung. And minez fur iz soz shinee and I’z soz helvee. Well fur da anzerz weez habz tu goze bak and start frum da beginnin’ of minez purrawlemz ten yearz ago.
About ten years ago I was still young. Only five years old and very active. But that winter mommy noticed that I had begun to limp a bit and have a little trouble jumpin’ on the bed. I also started losin’ my teeth for no apparent reason. I had been born with chronic gingivitis and mommy had tried everything but nothing seemed to help. My VET said as long as it doesn’t bother me not to worry, but to make sure my food was soft so I would continue to eat. This wasn’t a problem as I already ate canned food. The VET said I probably had the beginnings of arthritis, but it was nothing to worry about either, at least not till it got worse and all year round. So we went on this way and another year passed. By this time my limp was much more pronounced and I had really dry, flaky itchy skin. Again, off to the vet we went. I was given some allergy pills for my skin and mommy was told it might be time to think about some medicine for my arthritis, Cosequin to be exact. It’s not a cheap medicine today, but back then it was really exspensive. And bein’ on a fixed income mommy just couldn’t afford it. So we went on a hunt to find something that would work just as well but cost much less. And if mommy could find something more natural, all the better.
We tried joint treats and chews and powders and none of them did anything. Some of them made me throw up and some I just wouldn’t eat. Most of them claimed to have this Cosequin in them. In the meantime the allergy pills given to me for my skin condition also proved useless. One day mommy remembered a product she had heard of long ago called Barley Cat. But mommy couldn’t remeber what it was for or what it did, but she went on the search to find it. Mommy looked it up and began to read the testimonials. One after another made claims about the benefits to their arthritic cats and dogs (Barley Dog) There were claims with regards to skin conditions and diabetes and hot spots and allergies and dryness and itchy-ness and as a food attractant. And the list goes on and on. It seemed whatever the problem was this one jar fixed or at least helped them all. And better yet….it was all natural. So mommy figured worse case scenario it doesn’t work, but at least it wouldn’t hurt me and there would be no nasty side effects. The only thing left to do was place an order. Mommy searched around to find the cheapest price and then placed the order.
Green Foods Barley Cat
A few days later we had this little bottle in our house and we were ready to give it a try. It was the middle of winter so my arthritis was in full swing and my skin condition had gotten so bad my black fur was covered in white flakes. First meal mommy mixed the Barley Cat into my food and served it to me. I smelled it and took a small bite and…yummy. This is good stuff. I finished off my plate of noms and mommy waited for the throw up that had come after lots of the other joint treats I ate. None. No throw up at all. As fur a mommy update, fings didn’t go as planned yet again. MOL Hers has tu go back tu da eye surgeon nex Fursday fur one last check. And ifin at that time hers retina still looks good, then hers can schedule da purrceduwe fur da wight eye. Hers will be weally glad tu hav it dun. It be so cloudy it’s almost useless. And hers is guunna see da specialist nex Futsday tu. Not suwe what hims guuna du or say, but wees wuld suwely like tu get sum answers and find out what’s wong wiff mommy. Da pain has almost completely subsided fur now, but mommys wegular doctor sez it kuld come back at any time wiff out notice. Mommy sez is amazin dat hims can know that but not hav a clue what caused it. MOL

Ooooooops meez means catch up. MOL Wees plan on spendin’ tumowwo gettin’ caught up wiff all of yous. Fank yous fur bein’ so patient wiff us. As yous know wees been havin’ sum purrawllems wound here. First mommy got weally sick and then wees wus twyin’ tu wenew ow lease and da manager decided hers wusn’t gunna wenew ow lease and then wees had a flood. What’s dat old sayin’? When it rains it pours? Litewally it wus pourin’ in ow house. Well wees had da meetin” wiff management and mommys legal rep., and found that as usual there awe no legal gwounds fur them not tu wenew mommys lease. As hers is and always has been a good tenant hoo pays da went on time, obeys da law and follows da wules. And hers not cause twubble or get intu twubble. They hav 10 days tu let us know what they decide. Altho’ they must decide tu wenew ow lease. But ifin they don’t, wees will hav 10 days tu appeal their decision which of course we will. The supervisor (hoo has only worked fur da company fur ’bout a munff now) was shocked tu learn dat mommy has lived here fur 11 years. And that until dis manager mommy had nevew had any twubble of this natuwe. This lends even mowe cwedibility tu mommys hawassment claims. And da cawpet people will be here nex week tu look at da cawpet and twy tu fix it. Cuz da company fuw suwe dusn’t wanna spend mowe munny on cawpet ifin they don’t hav tu.
Mommys eye seems tu be gettin’ bettew so hers purretty suwe hers wetina’s not detachin’. Hers has a follow up on Fursday tu make suwe, and then hers gunna twy tu have da uddew eyes membwane lasered da first Munday in August. As fur hers uddew sick, all da tests keep comin’ back nowmal and hers wegulaw doctor sez hers has had da million dollaw work up so there’s nowhere els tu look. So wees still not weally know anyfin’ there, but da pain has sorta let up. Eevew that or all da stwess ovew evewfin’ els has took mommys mind off it. MOL Eevew way, wees will take it.
So that just leaves us wiff gettin’ caught up. 🙂 Now afur all this stawted wees got a gweat box fwum Marty the Manx. It had mowe Catit twacks and a massage center. WooHoo Wees du luv ow twack and ball toys, and that Catit is sumfin’ els. Can yous believ that Marty not be innewested in da Catit twacks? Hims also included one of hims favowit toys, da ball mouse. And a little supwise in one of da boxes. A cute little toy wiff bwitches and a catnip pillow down da bwitches. There wus weplacement spawkle balls and CatNip!!! Wiff all da commotion wees not had da chance tu weally du much playin or get gweat fotos but wees du hav a foo. And wees wanna say a Meowsy Big FANK YOUS tu Marty and Miss Kelly Jo.

OMC Wees been MIA all week. Da last time me posted mommy wus gunna hav hers udder eye lasered. Well dat didn’t happen. Mommy had been havin’ twubble wiff da eye that they did first, and so da surgeon took a look at it and fawt da retina might be twyin’ tu detach. So hims didn’t wanna work on da wight eye til da left wus all cleared up. So mommy has tu see hims fur anudder check tu make suwe evewfiings okay. Hers plans tu twy tu schedule da wight eye fur da first pawt of August. So wight now hers weally can’t see so good. MOL

But ifin yous fink that’s da only weason wees not made a posty or visited, yous wuld wong. Cuz on Wednesday meez stawted dancin’ all ovew da place cuz wees had a surprise all ovew da floors and cawpet. See da pawtment nex door tu us be empty and management has been paintin’ and cleanin’ it tu get it weady tu rent. But durin’ da day sumtime a pipe busted and flooded da pawtment. Since nopawdy wus there, then nopawdy knew what wus happenin’ til all thay water came fwu da walls and flooded ow pawtment. Suddenly wees had a 3″ ‘lake’ in ow house. All da emergency nummews mommy had fur da manager had been disconnected. After callin’ anuddew wesident mommy finally got a nummer that worked, but it went stwaight tu voicemail. So mommy had tu get out and walk tu find da manager. Da manager gave mommy a small 1 gallon wet vac tu twy tu clean up all da water. Since it wus 7:00 p.m. Da manager wuldn’t call da carpet cleanin’ men til da nex day. After watchin’ mommy twy tu suck up as much water as hers kuld, da manager decided tu bwing up hers carpet cleaner. And hers pwoceeded tu push da water further intu da house. And then hers decided tu leav. Da cawpet wus still sloshin’, and all da tiles in da house wus still wet, and mommy wus left tu it. Hers worked til 3:00 a.m. twyin’ tu get up ass much water as pawssible, afur hers collapsed. Then on Fursday da cawpet cleaners and fwu all of mommys stuff all ovew da place. All wees had wus a little paff tu get tu da pawdee box and da bed. They put big fans undew da cawpet which caused it tu float 3 feet off da floor. And then they put up a big dehumidifier and asked mommy ifin hers had sumwhere tu go. Mommy sed of course not, and they left after tellin’ hers that they wuld be back in 24 hours tu du da same fing tu da bedwoom and then da walls. Fankfully a kupple of ow wunnewful furiends put sum gween papers in mommys paypal account so wees stayed in a nice quiet clean motel woom last night. 🙂 Wees awe twuly blest and wuld like tu say a meowsy big Fank Yous fur there sacwifice. Wees know times be hawd fur evewpawdy so wees awe evew so gwateful fur dis nice woom. Anyways, wees had da oppurrtunity tu ‘splain why wees not been visitin’ or commentin’ and such.
