OMC Can you believe dat Fanksgivin’ is just 4 days away? Me eever. We hav so much to be fankful fur this year me dusn’t even know where to stawt. Me will stawt wiff meez Gotchaday which wuz yesfurday. Weez didn’t make a big deal of it cuz we celebwate Meow/Birffdays all mumff at ow house and meez Meowday wuz on da 1st and it wuz stormin’ like cwazy here yesfurday. OMC da sky kep lightin’ up and da funder boomers kep boomin’ and da tears fwum heaven kep fallin’. Weez never knew those angels kuld cwy so much. But they must not hav won not one game. Fur those of yous hoo not know what meez talkin’ ‘bout, me will giv you a little refwesher. See mommy splains da storms to us as God and da angels bowlin’, in an attempt to help us not be fwaid. Da funder is da ball rollin’ down da lane. Da lightnin’ is a stwike, and da rain? Da rain is da angels tears when they lose.
Anyways, meez gettin’ a little sidetwacked. Me wanted to tell you dat ifin yous unnewstand dat mommy only bwings a new kitty into da house when anudder passes away, then you will unnewstand dat da holidays be a little bittersweet fur mommy and sis Lexi. They hav experienced so much loss wound da holidays, but they’ve also experienced lots of joy. They say dat me bwought a fwesh ray of sunshine into their lives when me came to liv wiff them 5 years ago. Me hopes so, cuz they sure gave me life. And a wunnewful one at dat. Me gets so much luv. Mommy tells me all da time dat meez her special angel. But you know what? Her wuld never hav to say a word and me wuld still know it. Mommy sez it to Lexi too, but more than dat hers shows us each and every day how special we awe. We awe so blest to hav such a pawsum mommy.
Lexi: We shur arr Dezi. And owr wunderfull furiendz. Der beez soz many weez kuldn’t eeben naym ‘em awl. But youz awl noze hoo youz arr. And OMC jiz da udder day one of doze pawsum furiendz sendid us a “box.” Akshulee it wuz 4 boxez. Weez kuldn’t bulleev it.
Dezi: Yeah Lexi mommy kuldn’t believ it so much so hers kep tellin’ us to leav da boxes alone till hers found out whether there wuz a mistake or not. See awnty Ann told us to be spectin’ a Chewy box, so when da UPS man came we saw all those boxes and just figgered one of ow neighbors had learned ‘bout Chewy too. But NOPE, hims bwought all 4 boxes into ow house. And they all had ow names on ‘em, so mommy opened ‘em up, and there she found 2 big ole bags of ow favowit litter, SwheatScoop. Dat wuz a whole 50 pounds of wheat. Yippeeeeee But dat wusn’t all. There wuz 4, count ‘em 4 cases of da wet noms and 2 bags of da little shwimpy tweats too. OMC Wuz all dat fur us? Mommy had da leaky eyes fur hours and fawt there musta been a mistake and we shuld return sum of this. So hers told us to stay away fwum da boxes till hers found out what we needed to send back. Well after talkin’ wiff awnty Ann mommy learned dat there wusn’t a mistake at all. Dat she meant fur us to hav all dat. Yep yous guessed it, da dam bwoke in mommys eyes again. Since awnty Ann just retired fwum hers job and didn’t know when she might be able to send us anyfin’ els, she wanted us to hav a big shipment of goodies. Weez weally wanna Fank You bunches and bunches awnty Ann. Dat wuz so pawsum of yous to do this fur us. We hav been so blest by you dat weez can’t even begin to splain what dat meant to us.
We hav 1 more material blessing we wanna tell you all ‘bout today. Weez never had any of those I purroducts. Yous know da Apple stuff? But mommy’’s heard gweat fings ‘bout da company and of course like pawently evewypawdy els hers had always wanted one. But they be way outta ow purrice range, so it wuz just wishful finking. Altho’ fur years mommy has entered contests, drawings, you name it ifin they wuz givin’ away an apple anyfin’ mommy wuz enterin’. but alas, she never won. well it’s dat time of year when da folks wound here stawt havin’ there holiday giv aways, and sure nuff, there were sevewal dat wuz givin’ away those iPads. Yep, mommy wuz signin’ up alwight. And as many times as hers kuld too. Guess what? SHE WON!!! Mommy won an iPad Air. Don’t ask us why it’s called an air or what’s diffewent ‘bout it than da wegular iPads, but it seems purretty cool. Looks like now, mommy has no excuse fur not bein’ a little more activ wiff ow instagram account. MOL Cept she duz keep sayin’ sumfin’ ‘bout da typin’ ain’t easy. It has this keyboard on da scween, and mommy’s a two handed typer, so she sez she’s all fumms. Hmmpht We can’t get any fumms and dat’s all mommy has. Just don’t seem wight. Not wight at all. Anyways, mommy’s gunna be playin’ wound and twyin’ to learn how to use this new toy of ows.
So don’t yous agwee dat we be blest? Ow biggest blessin’ udder than each udder is you. We luv all ow furiends so much. Sumtimes you hoomans just don’t hav words enuff to expwess sumfin’, so we kitties say: Purrrrrrrrrrrr and many many purrayers.
Yesfurday we lost a pawsum furiend. Sweet Nylablue went to heaven after hers long battle wiff illnesses dat ravaged her little body. Nylablue we will miss you, but we know you awe no longer in pain and hav been restored to yous former selff. Altho’ we fawt you wuz pawsumly gawjus everyday wight up fwu da end. Don’t you worry weez’ll be lookin’ out fur Miss Sherri-Ellen. Weez sendin’ lots and lots of purrayers and hugs. Ifin you haven’ alweady, pop on over and read her touchin’ goodbye to everyone. Altho’ we might not fink so now, soon we all come to da realization dat while they awe no longer wiff us in da flesh/fur, they will liv furever in ow hearts.

Well it be Blest Sunday again, and ow favowit posty of da week. We posted ow very special Fank you post last week, and told you dat we got da steps fur sis lexi, but we didn’t hav a chance to weally show them off or tell you ‘bout them. So we wanted to take today to do dat. We told you dat they wuz made by hand special fur Lexi and ow bed. And all dat be twu. We picked a set of steps dat we liked and talked wiff Mr. Mike Duffe da owner and cwaftsman of Duff-N-Stuff Pet Steps ‘bout sum specifics. Hims has sum steps in da average measurements, but member weez hav a hospital bed and it be taller than most beds. And we be much bigger than da average household kitty.

So mommy talked wiff Mr. Mike ‘bout da measurements we needed and dat we wanted dat cool back so we kuld use it fur storage. And mommy got da household cawpet cuz it be softer and will hold up much longer wiff us usin’ it as a scwatcher first fing in da meownin’. And mommy also picked out da stain hers wanted fwum a very lawge list. Notice we sed stain and not paint. Know why? Cuz they awe made of REAL wood. Yep da real fing. Not pawticle board or fake wood or plastic. They be steps dat will hold up under way mowe than nowmal kitty use. And cuz they be REAL wood, they can even hold mommy. What we be sayin’ is dat you can weally custom make yous steps. Now we fink Mr. Mike kuld purrawlly make purretty much anyfin’ yous might need, so why don’t yous check out his store wight here. Now back to ow special steps. We kuld hav never got these steps ifin not fur all of you. So we wanna say a meowsy big Fank you again fur givin’ in da fundraiser. We luv these steps. Mommy wishes her kuld move in da meownin’ so hers kuld take da fotos and videos of us puttin’ ‘em fwu it. You know, down da steps to get da chair and then back up da steps to get mommy. And then a scwatch or two and down halfway to da chair and so on. Neever one of us has jumped on da bed since we got them set up. Why shuld we? Those steps awe just pawsum. If yous wecall they came in 2 diffewent boxes so dat meant mommy had to put them togevver fur us, and so we fawt we wuld let her tell you ‘bout dat. So take it away mommy.

Mommy: Thank you sweety. As Dezi said the steps did come in 2 separate boxes, and arrived a couple of days apart. There were no instructions but it was pretty self explanatory. There were 2 screws and 2 holes that matched up. Can’t get much simpler than that right?. MOL That’s what I thought. The first screw was pretty easy once I figured out how to prop the steps up, but the second was a bit harder to reach. I call them screws, but they didn’t actually have a head for a screwdriver, and not knowing much about tools I don’t know what the tool is called you should actually use. I finally used some large wire cutters because that’s all I have, and was able to tighten the screws in so that the steps are sturdy. I love them as much as the girls. And seeing the look of success on Lexi’s face when she gets on the bed by herself makes those steps priceless.
Fank you mommy. Weez sure do luv ‘em. As always we awe so extwemely blest. We hav each udder and all of you and these pawsum steps. Meowllo and welcome to a very special Blest Sunday. We have so many blessings in our lives one post just isn’t enough. But we’ll try. First me wants to say fank you all fur participating in our Blest Sunday postathon. We decided to host this event at the Tabby Cat Club, but thought it should be shared by any blogger who would like to post their many blessings. And it just so happened to fall on the same day that we were going to post after the fundraiser’s end. Things couldn’t have aligned better if we had tried. You may have also noticed this post is being written in human speak. It’s because we want everybody to be able to read every word.
As most of you know by now we’ve only been in social media for about a year now. But in that year we have met so many wonderful people from all over the world. And we have made so many friends. We are so truly blest. Guess we’ll go back to when this all started. Through no fault of our own, our apartment flooded back in July. Not once, but twice, and management kept giving us the run around about repairing and replacing the floors. During all this, mommy’s only sitting recliner broke. Our mattress which is all foam got wet. And so there mommy was sitting on the wet dirty carpet and sleeping in the wet bed. Well, back when we first got our computer we started a facebook page and belonged to a cat group where we made tons of wonderful friends. The cat group site shut down so we all migrated to facebook, and kept in touch.
While mommy was fighting with management trying to get our apartment fixed one of our awesum friends Mary Beth, who we call awnty; was rallying our facebook friends to try to raise some money so we could get mommy a new recliner. She asked for our paypal address and before we knew it our friends started putting monies in our account. And some sent food for us and for mommy, and some sent clothes, and others sent toys and/or treats. All the while they were praying for us and mommy. We can’t thank you all enough for what you did for us. Just know that you all hold a special place in our hearts.

Just a few of the gifts we received.
Another month passed and mommy was still fighting with management trying to get our apartment fixed up, and Miss Linda sent us an email. Conversations back and forth and finally Miss Linda said it would be great if mommy could get a lift chair and we could replace the wet mattress. Mommy agreed, but didn’t see how that was possible. And Miss Linda said she would like to sponsor a fundraiser for us and add to the list steps for Lexi to help her out. So the fundraiser was started. The first of the money that came in was transferred to us and put with what we already had in our paypal account and a chair for mommy was ordered. By this time we were finally back in our apartment and the floors had been replaced and several other improvements had been attempted. (all have been completed at this time) The fundraiser ended early when all funds were raised and exceeded. The final total was $1,952.00. We can’t begin to express our gratitude to everyone who donated. You all gave from your heart and we are so honored to have been the recipients of your love and kindness. Every gift mattered and every gift was precious to us. We watched the fundraiser everyday and mommy would read the names to us and the comments that were made and she would cry tears of happiness and humility. There was a little confusion at one point over the fees, but after much research and a few phone calls we can tell you that the fees WERE NOT charged to us or Miss Linda. The best way to explain is that it’s kind of like using an out of network ATM. The person using the card is charged a fee. But that fee isn’t taken out of the amount they withdraw, it’s charged to their account. So, the final total that You Caring showed is the amount that was deposited into the pay pal account for us.
Well first of all you already know that we were able to get a chair for mommy. And we all love it. It was special made just for her. And we got a new and dry mattress for the bed. It arrived Saturday. So we’re going to be sleeping in a dry bed again. WooHoo And we got a set of steps ordered fur sis Lexi, and the top half got here yesterday. They are being specially made just for her and our bed. Of course you will be seeing lots more of them in the future.

There was also some of you that gave and specified something different. We were so touched by the special friends that gave us their treat money so we could hav a new toy. Mommy ordered us a nip nana cause it’s one of our favorites. And we love it!!! And mommy was given a gift card and told to buy something frivolous with it. She hasn’t yet, but now that all the stress is over and everything’s finally set right, mommy will turn her thoughts to frivolity and make a decision about what to buy. Of course we’ll let you know what she got when she gets it.
We have been so humbled by the love and support we’ve received during all of this. We never expected the depth of generosity we received, but are eternally grateful. Thank you just doesn’t seem adequate but is all we know to say. You’re all so dear to us. And we pray God’s blessings for you. Every prayer, kind and uplifting word and monetary donation are appreciated. We have been alone for such a very long time, but you all have shown us we are no longer alone. Our family has grown exponentially and we are thrilled and honored to welcome you to our family. Our Facebook friends, Blogging friends and Cat scouts all supported us and we hope that we can in some way make you all proud to know us and be a part of our extended family. Meowllo evewypawdy, hope yous all havin a gweat week. It’s turned cold and wet here. Weally wet. It’s been rainin’ and rainin’ and rainin’. It’s looked like night time for days now. And well, datt means mommy’s not gettin’ wound vewy fast. Actually mowe like a snail to be exact. So weez twyin’ get in sum visits while also lettin’ mommy kinda rest. Ifin only meez paws wuz smaller me kuld visit yous all me selff. But alas bein’ a big girly means big paws, so me duz need mommy to type fur me. Or hey, maybe us cats kuld join tugedder and get da ‘puter peeps to make a keyboard just fur us cats. What’d’ya’ fink? Wuldn’t dat be cool?
