Hey everypawdy, it’s me, RaenaBelle. Comin’ to ya’ live from the Three Belles Ranch. We don’t drink, so I’s not hung over from our Blogoversary celebration, but I’s still a little giddy to think mine’s sissy’s been at this bloggin’ thing fur all these years. And, I’s fanky fankful that she lets me share it.

          Lets you? Hmmmmpht  Like me has a choice. Mommy says we have to share everythin’. Everythin’ x’cept your noms that is. Fur some reason, she insists we eat out of our own plates.  

 

Well, I’s still fanky fankful sissy. You’re a great big sissy. I’s got really blest with ya’. Mommy says some kitties don’t get so lucky.   

 

          Yeah, yeah Raena, you’re not the worst little sisfur either. Stay back tho’. Me doesn’t want ya’ huggin’ all up on me. (Dezi shudders and licks paw) You’re always so touchy feely.

Mommy likes us that way sissy. You know how she’s always hollerin’ fur us to come and be close to her when we try to nap on the bed durin’ the day. She says she wants to always be able to see us and reach out and touch us anytime.   

 

          Yeah, mommy’s always been that way Raena. Anytime she doesn’t know where we are, she panics. Even when she doesn’t need us, she needs us. Me kind’a likes it that way, ya’ know?

Me too sissy. I’s wouldn’t like to live somewhere that mine’s mommy didn’t wanna be with me.   

 

          Really Raena? Is that why you’ve been playin’ hide and go seek every night at bedtime lately?  

 

Purrlease, I’s not hidin’ sissy. Mommy knows zactly where I’s is. It’s our little bedtime game. I’s wait fur mommy to come carry me to bed from some spot that only she and I’s know ‘bout. I’s always make sure she sees me so she’ll know where to find me. I’s wouldn’t wanna miss bedtime snuggle time. that’s mine’s favorite time of all. Mommy always says she’s gotta have her cuddle buddies or she can’t sleep.

          Did you know that lots of our furiends stay up all night playin’ and gettin’ into trouble, Raena? 

  

Really sissy? Why would any kitty wanna miss night time cuddles? I’s can’t ‘magine missin’ cuddles with mommy to play. We can do that any time. Meowin’ of, we better go play befur mommy tries to pack up our toys.

It’s slow goin’ since mommy has to take frequent breaks and she’s been passin’ out a lot. We do hope to be ‘round to visit some day soon. In the meantime, we ‘purreciate all your purrayers, luvs and patience.

Chatting Cats: What Side of the Bed did You Wake Up On

Hey everypawdy, it’s me RaenaBelle. I’s comin’ to ya’ live from the Three Belles Ranch. Let me tell you, it has turned yucky and cold here. It got so cold yesfurday that mommy actually turned the heater up to 67°F. As most of ya’ know, sis Dezi and me have a lot of fur. In some places it just goes on furever. But, bein’ Ragdolls, we don’t have that extra paddin’ known as an undercoat, so we can get quite chilly at times. Fanky fankfully, mommy’s lap is always warm and we have a heated mat. Mommy even put the ‘lectric blanky on the bed the last time she changed the sheets.

          She may have put it on the bed Raena, but she sure is bein’ stingy ’bout turnin’ it on. Me doesn’t think she’s turned it on once. 

 

I’s don’t either sissy. But, ifin we get ice and snow like the weather guessers are furcastin’, surely she’ll turn it on tonight. 

 

          Ifin she doesn’t, you better be purrpared to share the mommy warmth RaenaBelle. Me needs to cuddle too ya’ know. And you’re always tryin’ to hog mommy.

Hog? I’s a sweet kitty girl, sissy. I’s no hog. I’s don’t even know what a hog is. Do we have a hog? I’s should ask mommy ‘bout that.  

 

          It’s a figger of speech Raena.

Oh, another one of those figgers that you make fun of me fur usin’.

 

          Not always Raena, only when you meow somethin’ stupid.  

 

Stupid?! Are you callin’ me stupid?! You know mommy hates that word. We’re not allowed to meow that ‘bout anypawdy.

          See Raena? You always go jumpin’ to conclusions. Me didn’t say you were stupid, just some of the things you meow.  

 

I’s don’t think mommy makes that distinction sissy. She says we should never use the S word. She says it’s mean and disrespectful. 

 

          Whatever Raena, go be a tattle tale.

Kittens sissy!!! Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or somethin’ this meownin’? 

 

          Me wasn’t even on the bed this meownin’ Raena. You hogged the whole thing and knocked me off. 

 

(Raena snickers to herself)  Ooooops, sorry sissy. That was an accident. I’s would never do that on purrpuss. 

 

          Me knows Raena. That’s the only reason you didn’t get the whacky paw of instruction. Me’s never seen a kitty sleep so sound. Girl, how many times have you fallen of the cat tree in your sleep?

Sissy!!! You’re not s’posed to tell everypawdy things like that. I’s a kitty and I’s s’posed to be elegant and graceful at all times…even when I’s sleepin’. (Raena then meows under her breath) That’s why I’s like to sleep in mommy’s lap. She always makes sure I’s don’t fall. 

 

          Yep Raena, mommy will always take good care of us.  

 

Huh? You heard me? You weren’t s’posed to hear that. Anyways, all this meowin’ ‘bout naps had made me a bit sleepy. I’s gonna go get in mommy’s lap and take a nap. Maybe we can play later?.

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. And it’s Furiday!!! I’s don’t know why we’re so x’cited ‘bout that, but we are. To me, it just seems like any other day.

          Fur us Raena, it is like any other day. But humans have been celebratin’ the arrival of Furiday fur a long time. It used to mean the weekend was here and peeps didn’t have to work fur a couple of days. Now we live in a 24/7 world so peeps might be off work in the middle of the week ‘stead of the weekend. Still, we get x’cited fur Furiday.

 

Oh, okay. Whatever. Hey, did you hear mommy say that Ms. A was comin’ over today?

          Yeah Raena, me did. When we made me’s hat fur summer camp, we broke the needle on the sewin’ machine. Seems mommy can’t hardly see it to replace it, so Ms. A’s gonna come help her. Mommy hand’t been that worried ‘bout it since we don’t actually have any material fur her to sew. But, when she was over there takin’ somethin’ to Nubs, they got to talkin’ ‘bout sewin’ and, well, the rest as they say is history. Me’s just happy to see mr. Sunshine again.

Oooooh Me too, sissy. Me too. It had been so yucky and drab lookin’ fur ever. I’s thought mr. Sunshine packed up his bags like ms. Fall. I’s was thinkin’ old man Winter must be really inhospitable.

 

          Well Raena, you can keep right on thinkin’ that, cuz he is. Me can’t believe you can’t ‘member last winter?. You weren’t that young.

 

Maybe I’s have mommy’s furgetful disease, sissy.

 

          Oh Purrlease Raena. That ain’t no disease, that’s old age. And, well, purroblems left over from her accident. Me thinks your purroblem has more to do with your care furee catitude. You don’t care ‘bout anythin’ so long as you can lay in mommy’s lap. You’re such a lap hog.

I’s luvs mommy sissy and I’s luvs layin’ in her lap. It’s the bestest seat in the house. (Feeling that Dezi may want to sit in mommy’s lap, Raena jumps up first and makes herself comfortable)

 

 

          Me knows Raena. And me would like to sit in it ever once in a while too. You know, mommy’s lap belonged to me furst. And, it iiiiis me’s birthday month, ya’ know.

          (Dezi paws at mommy’s leg from the floor and whaps Raena who’s bathing and oblivious to Dezi’s plight) C’mon Raena, it’s me’s birthday month and that means me gets more special luvvin’ this whole month. More specials than you even. Now Meow-ve!!!

(Raena jumps to the back of the chair and looks down at Dezi who mommy has picked up and put in her lap) Okay sissy, it can be your turn now. You know I’s luvs you too. How ‘bout we play later. Maybe, I’s’ll even let mommy take you fur a stroll furst ifin mr. Sunshine sticks ‘round.

Hey, some of ya’ asked ’bout that cutesy tunnel toy with the track I’s was playin’ with in our last posty. We got it at Wally World the day I’s had to get mine’s rabies shot. It had been returned cuz pawrt of it was broken, so they had it on clearance fur $2.00. Mommy was able to add some tape and poke a few extra holes in the tunnel to make it work fur us. We don’t ‘member what it was called, nor do we know how much it actually costs.
