Scouts Are On the Way

It’s Caturday and we have visitors on da way. Member me told you dat da Cat Scouts wecently stawrted a new gwoup called da flat scouts. It’s where scouts make flats of themselves and then twavel to visit udder scouts. Yous purrawlly alweady been seein’ a few posts cuz sum of da scouts have alweady been to visit a few udders. But their finally stawrtin’ to come our way. Now we have always told you dat we publish only da twuff here on meez bloggy wiff da ‘ception of virtual happenin’s. Fur da most pawrt that’s not gunna change cuz we believe da twuff is da only way to go.

Now dat bein’ sed, we wanna take a few liberties wiff stowries when our cat scout furiends visit and base sum of it in twuff but embellish a bit to make it more fun. It’s Furiday!!! Da weekend’s finally here. Do yous have big plans? Mommy’s gunna be lookin’ fur those fotos she lost and weez gunna be chillin’ unnew da a/c. They’re a gweat company and carry a lot of purroducts. They’ve got gweat purrices and offer auto ship fur yous favowit purroducts. You know, so yous not run outta our noms or tweats. Ya’ don’t want dat to happen. And don’t worry ifin yous order sumfin’ and yous furry furmily member changes their mind and dusn’t like it. Chewy has a gweat return pawlicy. You know how finicky sis Lexi’s been lately. Well mommy ordered hers noms and she wefused to eat ‘em. So mommy just called up chewy’s customer service and voila, new noms shipped out and they told us to donate da noms sissy wuldn’t eat. There was sure sum happy tummys at da wescue. And you know what? it was like 4 a.m. when mommy called. And da purrson on da udder end was just as nice and furiendly as ifin it was 4 in da afternoon. Cuz chewy’s customer service be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. So on to our furbulous purroduct.

Lexi Gets All Wet in the Shower

Well here we awe almost at da weekend again. Weez sure hope yous be enjoyin’ our Service cat twainin’ stowries. Meez mostly been tellin’ ya’ ‘bout me and what me was learnin’. So today we fawt we wuld take you way back and me wuld let sis Lexi tell ya’ ‘bout hers furst lesson helpin’ mommy in da baff tub/shower. As weez told ya’ in purrevious posts, mommy passes out purretty much everyday. And she almost always passes out in da shower. Yous finkin’ dat while dat be pawful, why wuld mommy need help, wight? Did you know it only takes an inch and a half of water to drown? And when you be unconscious you can’t struggle or fight. So when mommy passes out in da shower, da water still be runnin’ and hittin’ hers in da face and mouff and nose. So hers head must be outta da water, and dat’s where we come in. So we fawt Lexi’s furst shower lesson wuld be a gweat stowry to tell. Take it away sissy. (Meez sowry ’bout todays fotos. They awe 35mm dat was scanned into da puter and sum fings can’t be edited. But we weally fawt you needed to see da kitties dat was workin’ at da time of this stowry)

Fanks Dezi. It was a long time ago when I was still a kitten of ‘bout 4-5 months old. Devon and Lucky were still alive back then and I had been watchin’ them help mommy since the day my eyes opened and I kuld focus. But da day came when they sed I needed to learn to help mommy too ifin I was gunna be stickin’ round. And well I had no intentions of goin’ anywhere so like always when mommy went to take hers shower I followed the boys to da pawdee box room and plopped down on da hooman pawdee seat. Mommy had towels all over da room and floor. I had seen da boys roll round on those towels many a time, but I didn’t have any plans on getting’ any wetter than I had too. After all, I’d already had purrlenty of baffz and I wasn’t lookin’ to have anymore.

So as always mommy turned on da water and climbed in. She started latherin’ up and cleanin’ hers selff of sum imaginary dirt just like she did wiff me when me got baffs. And then it happened…the boys jumped up from where they had been loungin and waitin’, and mommy started grabbin’ at the shower bar and the curtain. Boff da boys hopped up on da edge of da tub and I meowed at them to warn them they was gunna get all wet. And afur I kuld finish down mommy went. And da boys jumped in da tub and started getting’ into pawsition. Lucky was much larger than me at da time but he was still yung too. He was only 28 days older than me. So Devon started meowin’ at me to get in da tub and help Lucky wiff his side. I didn’t wanna get wet and I didn’t know what to do so why did he want me to help?. Devon wedged himselff under mommys arm and hollered at me again. “Kid, get in da tub and help us!!!” he sed. Lucky maneuvered himselff under mommys udder arm and looked up at me.

Decisions, decisions. I didn’t wanna get all wet, but da mommy dat had been so good to me and luvved me so unconditionally needed my help. Da boys didn’t seem to mind da water a bit, so I stepped over to da edge of da tub. And boff da boys started meowin’ fur me to hurry up and get into pawsition. I reluctantly jumped in da tub and felt da water hittin’ my back. All I wanted to do was get out, but Lucky kept lookin’ at me and so I went over and pawsitioned myselff next to him under mommys arm. And then da boys started pushin’ and meowin’ at me to help push. We needed to get mommys head over da side of da tub so da water wuldn’t keep hittin’ her in da face. So I started pushin’ wiff all my might and da boys kept pushin’ wiff all there might and slowly but surely mommys head was finally restin’ on da edge of da tub. Da boys jumped outta da tub and onto sum of da awaitin’ towels and meowed fur me to do da same. We rolled round on da towels a bit and then sat there watchin’ and waitin’ fur mommy to come round.

Da boys might have been just sittin’ and watchin’ but I had gone over and was lickin’ mommys face. I knew I had seen this happen many times afur, but I sure did want her to hurry and wake up. I was scared and didn’t wanna have to find a new mommy. I was right where I wanted to be even ifin it meant dat I was gunna have to get wet everyday. So I had been lickin’ hers face and purrin’ as loud as I kuld manage hopin’ she wuld wake up. I didn’t have to wait too long and mommy finally started to move and hers eyes started to open. She seemed a bit confused, but finally she started talkin’ and tellin’ us how much she luvved us and how purroud of us she was. Let me tell ya’, there was a purr fest goin’ on then. We may have looked like wet rats, but we was fur sure happy cats. Mommy was finally able to stand up again and she hurriedly finished her shower and got out and dried off like we had.

 

Shortly after we all went to bed and continued our purr fest while massagin’ mommy. We each had a section. Back then Devon massaged mommys head, I did hers back/arms and Lucky massaged her legs and back too. When mommy finally drifted off Devon told me I had dun well dat day. I didn’t tell him, but I had been really scared. I didn’t want mommy to get hurt. This workin’ stuff was purretty scary. As I drifted off to sleep dat night I kept wonderin’ just what else was I gunna be learnin’. I was a little ‘cited ‘bout it, but I was also a little scared cuz I was fraid dat ifin I messed up maybe mommy wuldn’t be okay. I was gunna have to pay close attention to da lessons so I kuld make sure mommy was always okay. As I continued to grow, I became more helpful and able to hold my own under mommys arm by myselff. Dat became a necessity when brofur Devon was called back to heaven and left Lucky and me to take care of mommy by ourselves.

Oh sissy me always gets purr bumps when you tell dat stowry. Me members how scared me was da furst time me helped you get mommy outta da shower. Me wants you to tell sum more of yous stowries soon okay?.

Dezi Really Loves the Phone

So meez told you ‘bout me alertin’ mommy afur she passes out and ‘bout me learnin’ da awrt of massage. And sumpawdy sent us an email and asked how long afur mommy passes out did me alert her. They was a little concerned ‘bout hers dwivin’. We must pawlogize cuz dat be sumfin’ we normally include when tellin’ ‘bout me but this time we just furgot. Me alerts ‘bout 20 – 30 minutes afur mommy passes out. Purrlenty of time fur her to get sum where to sit down or pull over ifin she’s actually dwivin’, so she can be safe. Mommy wuld never wanna be wespawnsible fur causin’ sumpawdy else to have to live like she duz. There awe days when mommy be passin’ out “more” than “normal” and on those days, she won’t dwive at all cuz she dusn’t twust hers selff. Since we be alone and don’t have anypawdy to help us, it’s necessary fur mommy to continue to drive. But twust me, mommy takes gweat care when she duz. So fanks fur askin’ and we hope we cleared dat up fur ya’. We also got an email askin’ ifin mommy had any fotos dat showed meez size compared to Lexi back then. Mommy be panicin’ cuz she can’t find our fotos. Back then weez only had a 35mm camewa so everyfin’ was purrinted and she hadn’t had a chance to get them all put onto da puter. So me knows what she’s gunna be duin’ this weekend. Anyways, here’s da only foto we did have on da puter to show a size comparison.

Me was ’bout 8 weeks old here and had grown a bit fwum da time me had come to live wiff mommy and sissy.

As me stawrted gwoin’ and getting’ bigger and heavier mommy continued to teach me to push da fone buttons and meow at peeps on da udder end. PURRLEASE MEMBER it’s illegal to call 911 ifin yous not have an actual mergency. So ifin yous plan on twainin’ yous anipal to dial da fone…UNPLUG IT furst. Mommy also had to contact da fone company and fill out a cawd wiff instwuctions dat be attached to our nummer dat tells da 911 operator to send help ifin she/he gets a call fwum our nummer wiff kitties meowin’. You might check wiff yous fone company to see ifin they have sumfin’ similar. This applies to land lines only! Cell fones awe a whole diffewent “animal”. We don’t use a cell fone so weez not know da rules or purrcedures.

All dat twainin’ wiff da fone made me weally like it. You can talk to peeps fwum anywhere. Is dat not amazin’? And me luvs carryin’ da fone to mommy. So much so dat in da beginnin’ me made a lot of oopsies. As soon as meez paws kuld push da buttons down me wuld answer da fone everytime it rang. Or at least twy to. Mommy got purretty quick at gwabbin’ it so me kuldn’t push da button. She sed there awe sum peeps dat need to leave messages and there awe sumtimes she dusn’t wanna talk on da fone. Me just kuldn’t unnewstand why she didn’t wanna talk everytime sumpawdy called. So much so dat everytime da fone rang and mommy wasn’t near it, me wuld gwab it and push da button and most of da time me wuld dwag it to wherever mommy was. Which leads me to todays stowry.

Me was ‘bout 6 or 7 mumffs old and was able to push da buttons and dwag da fone. Mommy puts da belt loop holder on da handsets and me can gwab dat wiff meez mouff and carry it. Anyways this one afternoon we was all in da pawdee box room and mommy was…well you know, she was indisposed. And da fone stawrted ringin’. (There awe sum nummers dat mommy has assigned a specific ring to so she knows who be callin’ just by hearin’ da fone ring.) So mommy knew zactly who was callin’ when da fone stawrted up, and me headed fur it. And mommy stawrted to holler, “Dezi, leave the phone alone. Dezi!!! Don’t touch that phone!!! Dezi, don’t you dare push that button. No baby, leave the phone where it is.”

Well me kuld plainly see dat mommy kuldn’t get to da phone and so me weally did fink me was bein’ helpful. Me had alweady pushed da button so da purrson on da udder end kuld hear everyfin’ dat was goin’ on, and me was half way to mommy when she yelled one last time. “Dezi, Drop That Phone!!!” So me dwopped da fone wight there in da floor and headed back to da pawdee box room to be wiff mommy and sis Lexi. Mommy sez fankfully da purrson on da udder end hung up cuz it was our neighbor Mr. W. (sissy and me don’t weally like Mr. W so ifin hims had sed anyfin’ while me was carryin’ da fone me wuld have dwopped it to hiss at him.) MOL Mommy sed me still needed lots of twainin’, cuz me was posed to lissen and leave da fone alone ifin she told me too. Well, weez’ll see was meez answer to mommys more twainin’ statement. Me finks weez’ll wrap fur today and tell ya’ more next time.
