And eevew fank ow lucky staws fur ow low purrices, or wunnew what da cat? So, let’s go shoppin’.
First up on da list be Apples: $1.39 lb. or a 2 lb. bag of da small red apples fur $3.89
Nex up be Stwawberries: Nun of ow stowes had any wight now, so weez givin’ ya’ da purrice da last time they wuz available which wuz $4.99 fur da little basket of ‘em.
Third be cawwots: They be $1.89 fur da small bag (10 oz). Mommy dusn’t eat cawwots anymowe cuz they caused hers to hav hers first and only gall bladdew attack back when she had one. MOL
Nex be Gween Beans: There wusn’t any fwesh so a 12 oz can of da gweat value bwand be $.89.
And then OMC Lettuce: Mommy’s been cwavin’ a salad fur ovew a year now, but hers sed hers not payin’ them $2.99 fur a head and won’t even pay $1.99 on sale. Mommy sez dat’s just stupid.
It not be da bestest time of year fur da fwuits and veggies in ow awea, or at least what weez call da summer vegs.
So da last 2 items wuz a vegetable and a fwuit of ow choice. Well mommy dusn’ eat much of eevew of these anyways so me chose Taters: mommy likes ‘em but they haven’t been on sale lately and hers won’t pay $3.99 fur 5 lbs. or a so called baker fur $1.00.
And then gween gwapes, be $1.89 lb. And dat wuld wrap up da shoppin’ twip fur this munff.

Now in udder news ow sweet furiend Katie kat blogged ‘bout ow howwific situation here and asked hers followers to do sum writin’ on ow behalf. Well supawdy or sevewal sumpawdy’s got fwu and HUD’s big boss stepped in yesfurday and stawted talkin’ wiff da nice lady dat be twyin’ to help us fwum Rural Dev. and they had a 3 way confewence call with da owner of this purropurrty hoo also happens to be da purresident of da managment company, and came to an agweement. So ow toilet will be weplaced wiff da taller one and da management companies veep is comin’ down wiff sum udder company employees to move all of da boxes and furniture on Fursday. And mommy gets hers big tall fwidge back. So paws cwossed and all da purrayers dat Fursday goes off wiff out a hitch. (any purrawlems) Fank ya’ Katie and all yous followers dat spoke out on ow behalf.
And ifin dat wusn’t nuff, then Miss Linda and Savannah went and set up a fundraiser fur us to help us get sum gween papews to weplace mommy’s chair. As yous know ows bwoke in da flood and mommy’s been havin’ to sit in da floor. Dat not be so good fur hers, but she did it wiff out complainin’ all da time. And ow mattwess on da hospital bed got all wet fwum all da moisture in da air so weez hopin’ to be able to get anudder one. Then Miss Linda asked ifin there wuz anyfin’ weez needed to help us even mowe. And as yous all know sis Lexi still acts like a kitty, but hers not anymowe and hers needs stairs to get up on da bed to help mommy. And da stairs mommy had bought years ago wuz da little lightweight pllastic ones made fur little dogs. Needless to say they bwoke a long time ago under da weight of a healffy sissyfur, so weez kuld use sum stairs to help hers to continue to work and help mommy. Weez suwe do purreciate them duin’ dat fur us. Specially since Nana’s been up to sumfin special ovew on hers bloggy. Wunnew what it kuld be?

Our mom definitely knows what it is like to struggle with a fixed income. When Jewel could no longer get on the couch, we made little makeshift stairs for her by putting really strudy boxes of varying sizes next to each other. Your mom could do that while she waits for the green papers to get new stairs. 🙂 Just a thought.

Yep, weez do. Weez get ow noms and litter fwum Chewy.com and their boxes be big and sturdy and so weez use them. Weez of course also use them to play in so mommy has to weplace them ever so offen. Wees get in twubble fur usin’ ’em cuz da pawtment management say dat da boxes be a fire hazard, but sumtimes yous gotta do what yous gotta do. Fanks fur da tip.

I am glad everything is going to be straightened out -finally. I think they should buy you a chair too being that it got ruined in the flood.
I don’t know any of those prices because our garden is still going and we grow all that. The strawberries are gone by, but I froze some and the grapes are almost ready.

Weez agwee, but da law sez they now be wesponsible fur damages fwum these kinda fings. Since da mattwess wuz wuined after da initial flood they kuld be wesponsible, but as yous hav seen what weez had to go fwu just to get them to fix da pawtment, their own purropurrty, it wuld be way too much of a fight and faw to long to twy to get them to weplace it, and mommy’s just so tiwed of fightin’. Hers not likes to be da kinda purrsun hers has had to be lately. Meez mommy is weally laid back and happy and hers hasn’t gotten to be day in a while.
Yep weez not gwow anyfin’ anymowe cuz mommy just can’t keep up wiff it anymowe, and da wild animals eat it all up afur weez get it. MOL But mommy dusn’t eat a lot of this kinda foods anyways.

The Staff is not very good at working out the dollar/pound conversion MOL, but everything seems expensive $2.99 for a head of lettuce???? But half da time they be buggy and not worff .50 cents and dat’s why mommy won’t buy it fur $3.oo, plus tax. Specialy when just ovew a year ago yous kuld buy them fur .98 cent a head.

So happy to hear that the management of that apartment complex and the people at HUD have decided to do the RIGHT thing. It never should have taken this long for that to happen but at least it is! Also very happy to hear that you ladies were helped so much by Savvy’s Mom Linda….she’s a very VERY special lady who cares a lot and does so much for others who need help. We’re happy that your Mom will have a chair, and Lexi will have stairs and FINALLY things will be “right” for you girls in your home!
